No major problem except the rear water leaking issue which was caused by the local installer when they install our reverse sensor. It's great cars tat'd serve me well since Aug 2004. Gd FC & easy to drive ard with the low maintainance oso. ya, agreed. my now 3yrs 9mths lo. still doing good.

agreed. in Singapore with so strict checks n inspections, how to compete wif malaysia cars.
Think we better be humble n drive safely. we r the the ground, they are the sky, cant compete 1, so buying performance car in SG is kinda waste.
A Good example is the case of the robbery by MY merc can chase the SG ferraris on NSH. means our ferraris or maserati r crippled when the reach SG

All pumping of air are just left home no beyond 4km of driving from ur start(must be at least 4hours of parking/not moving to calm down the air pressure in the tyres)
hot(afternoon) + 10 kpa
not hot(morning) +5 kpa
cold(night,dawn time) 210kpa(my prefer KPA)

250 kpa not tat good, cos if no shock absorption, parts may loose or wear off faster.

pcd 100, offset 45 shd be ok
get 5 or 5.5 inch width for 14 inch rims if you wana have 165/60R14 tyres (comfort tyres).
i found most in the market r 6inch width which is in the market. those r for 185/55R14 tyres which mostly are performance tyres

As for mine ride with front struct bar and 195/45/15 tires, it help to reduce the unbalance the ride... but petrol ... still ok now... ex was 1 / 15.8km and now 1 / 13.5km.. i think is abt the tires... its never too late to downgrade to 14inch with premium tyres ;D after u used ur tyres ;D

stock is the best FC. if you wana have better FC
use low resistance tyres(155/165 width tyres), 5w20 full syn engine oil, Cold air intake.
Think tis is the best answer for ur FC. other mods, i dun think is needed.

i also do some researching, think continetal contact 3 is good. but not much pica user using it... i saw a lot ppl using good year. performance tyre? I'm using Continental EcoContact 3 165/65/13. Compared to the stock tyres: - Better steering response - Better cornering - FC improve by at least 1km/l due to low rolling resistance - Road noise is low - It's a great wet weather tyre. According to tests, one of the best. This is the reason why I got this tyre. For safety in wet wet Singapore. My personal opinion is that tyres matter more than rims when it comes to safety, and it is more important to invest in good tyres. agreed. i bought it last year. 20k liao, haven do rotation yet, still v smooth on cruising. when i buy from justin in poh heng, it was $85 per piece. i say wow , so expensive. . he told me its engineered by Germany, low noise, better FC. So dun complain. then after using this, I think the $$ spend is worth it on tyres. Till now, its the best tyre for me as a family car. comfort, low noise + safety on wet roads. you can get it from stamford tyres or poh heng.

hi gtkh2
your 1 load index 73V is low from specs, maybe next time get 165/55R15 as width the same, safer at 75V Load Index but mayb sluggish abit as 2.72% more than the original

Hi, Would like to ask... I am using the C&C default sports rim with 14 inch Yokohama. I found that the tyre noise is quite loud. Is it because of the tyres? Also, there are some quietier tyres yah? yes, it might. Get Conti EcoContact3 or Michelin Energy. Quieter

ur important are the belts and the water pump, oil use normal full syn oil ok liao.
Tyres rotate advisable, alignment is option if no vibrations or anyhw turn by itself during straight roads on ur steering wheel.
Coolant change if last servicing din change. Brake, steering fluid change if u feel it is no so effective to ur reaction.
If battery 2.0-2.5yrs, get it change. dun wait till the tow or recovery truck to help u on the road.
Cos every 10k change is like 4-6mths period intervals. So change if u feel its essential.

mine 89,000km liao, FC is around 15-16kmL at 165/60R14 continental ecoConact3 tyres wif malaysia rims wif some jams here and there to work. I think stock picanto FC is the best. aircon on most of the times maybe 80% aircon on. highway 70%.
I think if u guys have jams all the way to work, you may get 14-15kmL for a manual, 11-12km for auto. From my 3.5yrs experience.
Picanto FC is quite good liao.

1170kg for advante 1150kg for lancer(1.6) 1190kg for Civic 1.6 1100kg for Axio 1.5
I agreed wide tyres cant force the water from tyres. Mayb getting more straight threads tyres, it should be better to drain the water out of the tyres thread. ;D

pump gun stop becos of air pressure going back to the pump gun. Picanto can squeeze 4-6litres if gun stops. Cerato would be more than that, depends on the design and shape of the fuel tank. (Most probably they are the same shape). Maybe you pump a few times more, take a try again n again. you will master the skills of "Brimfull Petrol Pumping" Picanto 3/4 tank can pump 18-20litres. Cerato shd have 28-30litres for topping up from 3/4 tank to Brimfull. The petrol needs time to go down into the tank, the amount squeeze shd be a slower/ lighter rate. No harm trying again.
