How is your paintwork after 3 years. For mine. most of the clearcoat has been eaten away by the rain. Being an OPC, its parked in open air carpark most of the time. No longer shiny and smooth.

me wipe with clean water when dirty and wash with car shampoo once per month or little less... car to maintain shine, you need car groomer or DIY groom your car... it will protect your paint clear code too. those who use sealent is good but u need to maintain it once a while

for me it was wash every 1-2 weeks and wax every 1-2months for the first 3 years. then for the first time after 3 years i washed, polished, then waxed to regain the old shine. now its back to wash every 1-2 weeks and wax every 1-2 months and polish every 4-6 months.

mine black; got lotsa stuff on it and I don't really care liao. used to wash it like once a week for the first year. then 2-3 weeks one time for the 2nd year. then 3rd year, probably once a month or wait for heavy rain. half a year ago, started calling those mobile waxing service, paid about $100 every 2 month to do up my car. really like the feel after the cleaning, but stopped eventually cos... i dunno, starting to treat my ride as just a transportation. I mean, $100 every 2 months is equivalent to 1 full tank every month lor. yes, i'm a cheapo. but bo bian, saving for marriage la~ haha now only fo petrol kiosk car wash like once a month. STILL hoping for heavy rain everytime my car is dirty; speeding at 80++km/hr on expressway during heavy downpour, park at sheltered carpark and dry up with cloth = external maintenance for me.

the car groomer told me that the clear coat on picanto is not that good. he has seen lots of PICANTOS with paintwork damaged by the weather. more likely its due to cost cutting measures by the koreans.

After driving for 3.5 years, my car paint is a goner. white color become grey (not yellow). Hardly wash nowadays, just visit carwash once every 3 weeks.

if yours is not an OPC parked in open air carpark most of the time, i am sure your paintwork will last longer.
