Hi all, got questions:
1. My mileage now is 76k km. Last servicing at 65k. Suppose to go for servicing at 75k. Can I drag on to service it at 80k? Will have any MAJOR issue or not?
2. When I start my engine (manual transmission), sometimes it is difficult to start. And sometimes, when it get started, the car alarm will BEEP 3 times.
Usually, no beeping when start engine.
Is it because of battery or ignition plugs? My ignition plug is Titanium spark plug that has been changed during 55k servicing. Or is it because of other problem?
3. For 80k servicing, is it necessary to change the time belt? WTH is a "time belt"? What is it for? How do I know if it is time to change?
4. Where is Harmony Motor workshop? Is it at: No. 1 Chia Ping Road Singapore 619967
Thanks!

Can do at Harmony Motors. The mechanic at Autopoint had done a few picanto's timing belt change. Cost abt $300 only. Some recommend to change the water pump also but its on a case by case basis.

If u wan, just take the spare parts from Min Ghee then ask whichever workshop to quote you the labour, will be cheaper. I got my timing belt kit at MG @ $150 (special pricing, normal pricing will be ard $170-190). Then i got the labour at $80. So add up ard $230......
Hope it helps.....

You can try Synergy Auto @ 216 Lavender Street (Esso station), look for Gary, he deals with lots of Kia and Hyundai rides, can call him @ 91094728... Try not to delay servicing bro, esp when you travel so much everyday/week, keep your car in good condition if u service on time/earlier...

Alright... went over to Harmony workshop yesterday to service my ride... was quoted $280 for the timing belt and its system maintenance, and left my car in their hands for the rest of the checks.
Estimated damage in total should be around $450+...
Will furnish more details when I go collect my car sometime today or tomorrow (saturday, as I told them to take their time to "heal" my ride!)

Hmmm...after reading from ur feedback on Harmony workshop services......tinking of going there for my car servicing too..... BUt can ask what engine oil they are using and can i bring my own engine oil? How long is the normal servicing + changing to timing belt and brake pad...? For the gearbox oil, transmission oil, power steering oil......do they just add water or using appropriate lubricants for each of them..? Do you do tyre rotations too, and the damages....? Paiseh to ask so many qns here....need to ask around for feedback on their services before going there.....

Paiseh to ask so many qns here....need to ask around for feedback on their services before going there..... engine oil: they used Esso Ultron, can't remember the specific oil type. and yes, they told me next time can bring in own oil. how long is the normal servicing + changing to timing belt and brake pad: can't answer you on this, cos I left my car there on Thursday (around 545pm, and they closed at 6pm), and they called me on Friday (around 530pm) to tell me I can collect my ride. I went over only on Saturday to collect. I believe at least half a day provided they have the stock for the time belt. Call first if you want to confirm. anyway, I told them to take their time to do; dont wanna rush them when doing my baby. ;D for the gearbox oil, transmission oil, power steering oil......do they just add water or using appropriate lubricants for each of them..? : I wish anyone of us here can know about the truth bah, bro. I really dunno about this. But, I do know that if they add water only instead of the real stuff, people will know once they get back their ride from servicing. and if really got problem, people wont want to go back anymore and I think all workshops wont want this to happen lor. Do you do tyre rotations too, and the damages....? : they did the rotation for me for free. anyway, I do remember me saying (many times) that I've been refered here through our Forum and asked for discount. Forget to add in my previous post that I also got a 20% off the brake pads (better than nothing).
