FYI, when the temp is hot, u don't need to go beyond 3000rpm to see the leak. that's the reason why, u have "white stain" all over the place - a sign to tell u that d radiator is leaking. 4 me, i changed the whole piece. just buy from Ming Ghee and bring to JB workshop (the workshop which is frequent by uncle LMF and Abang Saniboy). U might just wan to change the top part just like some bro here is doing. That's your choice and preference. I think labour is about RM20-RM30 (not sure lah bcos i oso did other things as well). good luck bro......

Eng oil looks ok and not milky. Went to world auto to hv it inspected this morning. No leak observed. The mechanic topped up the spare tank with water and advised me to monitor for 1 week. You guys are right about the leak. I did a check again in the afternoon. The dried coolant stains from the top plastic part of the radiator makes me uncomfortable, so I start to clean with tissue. I tink I saw crack lines on the top plastic part of the radiator. Now will monitor and see if there is stain again. Meanwhile will search for past thread regarding radiator replacement. Thanks for the advice rendered.. bro, d radiator has a certain life-span, especially the top plastic cover. FYI, on normal driving (say less than 3000rpm) the leak is very minimal. But if u go beyond 3000rpm, u might notice the water will "spray-off" from the plastic cover. that's what happen to me 1 mnth ago. luckily i discovered early.

Will driving my V2 for a road trip to Cameron Highland in mid Oct. Heard that the road is very narrow and steep. Considering our ride damp heavy and underpower... just wondering it can climb up Mt Brinchang or even Sungai Palas Boh Tea? Have any bros here try it before? bro, this year jan went to Genting & witness a EVO7 chasing after a V1, starting from chk-pt g'hse all the way to the top. Too bad unable to see the no. plate. white colour sedan normal plate. if opc than maybe it's our bro dearest.

i am driving a V2........ and the V1 can smell my exos.......muaUAhaha shhhh later tio ban. anyway there are many V1 bros here, very helpful, even help me change aircon filter teehee. aftermarket AND repair parts V1 has more availability than V2. but yes given the similar body, the V2 121hp engine may be easier to push. Both V1 and V2 are drinkers. probably V2 drink less. on a serious note, I did have ppl warning me against cerato and i believe it was the v1. Something to do with steering, and various leaks i think including the coolant. however, also poh heng suay. these minor problems should have surfaced in the earlier years and should have been solved by now. when i went "shopping" for my V2, i had the engine running for 5-10mins while talking to the dealer. Listen for any weird noises and visually check for leaks. always remember if u buy from dealer, u should not believe more than 10% of their words. Even the most honest looking ones. This is buy low sell high world; they are not going to volunteer fixing all the nitty gritty defects should u not voice out during test drive. lastly, do bring a friend who at least has some basics in car maintenance and/or ownership. it will help u make a proper decision. unless u urself have some experience in engine and erectronics. whoa liao-a, u sure boh bro........i was told that there is/are V1 TC on the road, not sure still exist or not. maybe 1 fine day u suay suay meet the V1 TC and yr turn to smell his exos. hehehehe....... just kidding.

Hello,,,,,currently driving a cerato V1. Intent to bring this car for 20-yrs rideship, but then don't tink so now liao and might happily settle for 10-yrs rideship instead. reasons; d wear-and-tear and maintenance costs is getting more frequently - most probably due to my frequent "red-line driving" while travelling north. (BTW, don't be mistaken that the V1 is giving lot of problems. In fact, it's my 1st love and it has brought me a lot of admiration and glory).
Intent to switch to Sportage once I scrape. Looking at the advertisement, it seems OK, but of-course not sure about its durability. What's the reviews and comments from bro who r currently on Sportage ride? Good/Bad comments - all r welcome. tks!

believe non-carbon lor ordinary white aircon filter 13 bucks ok la, u on bro? hi uncle...$13 looks OK lah. not that costly. But I usually DIY - buy the household "cooker-hood" filter from grocery shop and cut to dimension. But then need 2 change every 3-6 mths.

hi bros and sis, anyone installed LWP ?? is it a lot of different from stock?? really help a lot on pick up?? any bad point on it?? heard that will suffer a lot on high speed?? tksss... like dat har!!!! then ever wonder y it suffers on high-end? hehehe.... as its name imply, it's something "light". just imagine, in a spinning mechanism, the torque works well with a light or heavy object tie to its end? If u can understand this physics theory, then u will begin to bang your head against the wall by getting a LWP. What I did to my ride is exactly the opposite. In addition I modify the turning ratio between the crank shaft and the air-con pulley. and the result : 1st gear suffer (as per normal), but once the momentum is running, on a 2nd gear onward, it's red-line all the way. ever try hitting 120km/hr on 3rd gear and 160km/hr on 4th gear with stock gear-box? on the other hand, if u r constantly on 4000rpm, u tend to stress out the air-con compressor, and the solution - change the turnning ratio. and the result - air-con cooler and longer life-span. and now finally the cost to custom-made such pulley : hehehehe. u can expect 4X the price of what we pay for LWP. The initial investment is high, but the payback, performance and durability is totally difference. up to u to decide.

FYI, in my situation, it can't fix in just like dat. need modification - eg. cutting, grinding and spray back to original. maybe i'm a bit more "sway"? maybe it's due to production batch? Hope that when u buy, don't have same problem like me.

always send to cnc lei. donno what they are doing also. every time i send in for service, i always bring up that issue. then they will waste my f@rking petrol and come back with a no problem lei reply. i mean wa!!! can u do smth??!! I think you shouldnt waste ur time sending there...go outside get other professional help better...cheaper also. To C&C as long as the problem does not surface when they are testing ur ride...they will take it as NO PROBLEM to them. Ask u to go back and monitor. I already kana few times from them already...given up hope completely on C&C. So to those bros out there who worry about warranty void due to mods/service outside...JUST DO IT! hahaha...i'm glad dat u hv finally come to yr senses. FYI, i hv never step into C&C ever since day 1. Frankly speaking, I will F them if they ever void my warranty by not gg back 4 svs. anyway my ride is already more than 5 yrs, so no such issue liao.

Ok bro, managed to fix the front srtut/tower bar on kia Caren 2007 model on last sat. btw, in m'sia it's called kia/naza rondo. pls be forewarned - not so easy and straight fwd to fix hor. What I did was I grind-off the obstruction portion and after that spray painting back to its original white colours (otherwise looks very odd & ku-ku). after installed, as expected d body roll has very much reduce. can oso feel steering wheel more "heavier". anyway recommended to hv it fix. worth d $$$ have any photo to show us? how much will that be? duuno how to up-load leh. anyway can go to UR website and c 4 yrself. I tink TRC quoted RM200 or RM220 with installation. I bought @ RM200 w/o installation. Tot can fix myself but later regret cos to much work - grinding & spray painting.

another good investment (worth 4 $$$) is to install vacuum tank ($170), oil catch tank (DIY), grounding cables (DIY) and change to higher amp battery (batt shop). gd-6.
