dun believe everything you read in the forum. That's true. the real test is to go down and talk to the SE mentioned and decide for yourself if you want to buy from them. My experience with Phil has been good though. If you check back the past posts as well as the old delphi Kia forum, I generally have good feedback for him since I bought my first Sephia from him. I loved the design of that car but unfortunately, it still had the earlier kinks associated with Korean cars. After 3 years, little problems started showing so I thought it was time to move on. Next I upgraded to a Spectra (bought from him also). Was supposed to be an improvement but I encountered one problem that took C&C months to trace and rectify. While my 2 colleagues were getting 11-12km/l for their auto spectra, mine only gave me around 9.5 to10km/l. By then, the European-standard Cerato was introduced, so again I upgraded. And wow...it is a truely different car. Smooth and quiet engine, improved FC (Range for spectra:390km for 50l fuel tank vs 580km for 55l fuel tank average). Its a joy to drive... ;D Incidently, when my spectra was delayed but I had to surrender by sephia, he loaned me a Nissan March for a week at no cost to me..

If you still haven't found one, can try Phil Tan too... Good service. I bought 3 cars from him (sephia, spectra and cerato). Very friendly. One of my friends have bought 2 cars from him also! ;D PM me for contact if you are interested. He is based in Alexander Kia.

no prob fellas...just wondering only I don't have the urge to squeeze a little extra petrol into the tank anyway because it can go 2 ways...after you top to the brim, the price of petrol may drop the very next day or vice versa ;D So best way is probably to pump 3/4 all the time. that way if price drops can pump more or if price increase, no diff lor....

guys...i have been saying for quite some time on this now...
1 litre = 10cm x 10cm x 10cm volume.
10 litres is 10 times that! Now imagine when the petrol pump stops, if you can squeeze additional 10 litres of petrol, where does it all go to? I can estimate the pipe leading up would probably be around 3 litres worth....there were cases of people here saying they have pumped more than 15 extra litres. I tried it once out of curiosity. 2 sec later, the fuel overflowed out of my oil filler cap!
Then they told me to pump slowly and you can do it. I may be wrong but my guess is the paddle that tracks the fuel continues to move at full speed while in actual fact only a trickle of fuel goes in. Hence you may be squeezing in 1 or 2 litres more but the machine registers and charge you for 10-15 litres! Why risk it?
I usually let the pump cut off and stop there.....that's just my advice but I can be wrong of course... cheers..

my aircon used to be quite cold when on 1, but recently not very cold liao....anyone know whether we need to top up e gas or what? being driving for 3 yrs plus liao....last rd go CAS svcing, they ask me whether wan consider change compressor...$600+..wah lao...but don't think so serious as on higher still cold after a while... anyone can advice? wah...3 years time to top up gas and do a servicing also. As gas leaks and is replaced by air, it mixes to form a corrosive material which eats up your condenser. Hence not good to let the aircon gas level drop. I suggest you try to top up gas first for low cost solution. If can afford it, do a chemical wash of your condenser. cheers

Its way too early to be cutting price to clear stocks. Should be because market is weak now with fuel prices high and impending recession but more importantly, they probably want to reduce their stock levels before the 7th month starts (this Sat?) where traditionally some people will hold off purchases. But wow...that price even much lower than my "special price"...sigh...

wow...that IS cheap....but do check on the loan quantum though. Try to take as short a loan as possible. 10 year loans are quite ex in the long run...but the catch is they require you to take 10 year loan to get $41K price. nope.. no need 10 year. wah...then tan diok...

If you like spaciousness and all the other minor extras, then go for the Cerato. At night when cruising on thehighway at 100km, you can't hear the engine at all! But if consumption is prioity, the manual RIO would be the best.

cool! btw, the moral of the story is its pointless to remove the heater because the aircon just gets too cold. So if you want colder, just set to colder setting. Its a waste of money to remove the heater and then install a thermostat. There is no guarantee the thermostat will fit properly. The one on my spectra was too short, so the guy had to do some fabricating of an extension to the spindle which weakened it. Luckily for my Spectra I mostly left it at one setting which is usually the least cool one because I do not like too cold...heh heh

Its strange. They are finally launching the Cerato hatchback as the "Sports" model with sportstronic drive but in reality, this is a standard feature on the V2 series, so their "Sports" model is merely a name given to the hatchback. But I must admit the V2 auto price is very good inspite of the trend in higher cost for everything..

If u take out the heater, it'll give u max a/c with the coolest setting all the time. Ur a/c piping might frozen. So if u decided to take off the heater, suggest u install an aft market thermostat like wat bro airconvent did. Don't worry, that should not happen. As far as I can see, the compressor cuts off at around 6-8 degC so that's the temp of the air without heater. Icing is a phenomenon that occurs mostly on standalone aircon units as far as I can determine. BTW, you can do experiment. Set your aircon to 1 marker above hot and off the aircon (not the fan, but the a/c switch). You will see the air turning warm. That's the amount of hot air at that setting. hence if you off aircon switch during driving, make sure the "cold" setting is set to max as that will literally close off the heater air flow.
