Hi Joey,
Recently I encounter difficulty in engaging 1st gear, most of the time I'll need to release and depress the clutch to engage again. The other issue is sound coming out from my passenger safety belt buckle. The sound only appears when the seat belt is inserted and car is moving. Can you pls advise me? Thanks.

Used to ask FK before but told that it'll attract the attention of the TP as the noise is quite significant.

I think it's the thing that's near to exhaust right. Usually known as bullet. But it'll make your exhaust sound louder if changed. Usually it's used to muffled the exhaust sound. Pls correct me if I'm wronged.

I'm driving a V1 manual and do experience this too. Did you add any engine oil treatment? I think I saw a thread from Harmony mentioned about this. Probably need to double check with them whether it's normal or not.

Hi Joey. Recently I feel that my ride is having some issue during warm up in the morning or parked for some time. Upon engine start the RPM will go from 1000 to 1500 then slowly return back to below 1000 after awhile. Is this normal as I dun experience this previously? Mine is a cerato 1.6M. This is normal. During the cold start, the combustion of the Air/Fuel Mixture is not efficient and the Catalytic Converter needs to warm up fast in order to work properly. The design engineer will, at this stage, open up the Idle Actuator Control to let in more air in order to warm up the engine and Cat faster. Therefore the RPM will go up to 1500 rpm and slowly goes to normal (750 rpm) according to the temperature of the engine, which is measure by the Radiator Temperature Sensor. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim Thanks joey.

The performance I tink is best felt when under hard braking..it reduces the effect of ballooning of the brake hose which reduce the bite on the rotors..if normal driving, shd also be better oso lah..but I guess not very obvious..maybe others can clarify.. this is how feel after changing mine to stainless steel braid brake hose for my pica. Thanks for the advice. I'll consider to change mine too.

Hi Joey, I'm driving a manual 1.6 Cerato and mileage going to be 80k. Intend to do servicing as well as timing belt change. Do I need to change water pump as well? What will be the overall charges includes servicing? Thanks. I guess my enquiry had been forgotten.
