Hi,
Good day to all bro. Anyone know where to get the Inlet joint O ring for the '05 Cerato power steering pump? Recently I found that there's foaming inside the power steering reservoir and suspect air are getting into the pump. Every morning the pump will make growling noise but will goes away after driving for some time. Appreciate any help on this. Thank you.

Hi,
Recently I'd changed my cooling coil and valve as there's a leak. After changing the coil there's a whistling sound whenever I turn on the AC and during driving. I've go back to the workshop and the mechanic said that it's due to the pressure inside the valve. He had replaced another one but the sound is there. The sound will only occur when you revv the RPM above 2K. Anyone had experience this and any idea how to cure it? Thanks.

I'd changed my mounting today and found that there's alot of vibration at idle. I could feel on my steering wheels, dashboard and seats as well. Is there any wrong with the fitting of the mountings? I got the original mountings for my model. Pls advise. Thanks.

Hi,
I'm driving a manual 05 Cerato and recently felt that there's vibration at low RPM. When at idle I could feel vibration across RPM range of 1000-1500. After crossing this range the vibration is not there anymore. Is this something to do with the transmission flywheel problem. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Bro,
Thanks for the advice. However the vibration will only comes after few minutes of driving and when stops at traffic light. Will this be related to engine mountings? Pls advise. Thanks.

Hi,
I would like to seek advise on where's the location of the PCV valve for Cerato V1.
Also would like some advise on issue with vibration. At idling I could feel alot vibration on my left wheel as compare to the right one. Is it something to do with wheel bearing or ball joint faulty?
Appreciate any bro can advise me on these. Thanks.

Hi Guys, Would appreciate some help from the experts here. I'm driving a '05 Cerato manual and recently experiences air con problem. My air con have a longer cutoff time so I actually feels the hot air from my air con. Had changed the dryer filter but it's only ok for awhile. According to a mechanic that my air con always have high discharge pressure so air con not cold. Unable to resolve until now. Anybody experience this before?

Hi appletree,
Thanks for your advice. However my ride does not any sensor or wiring between the ducting from the throttle body to the air filter box. I could remove this ducting fully without disconnecting any wires. I'm not too sure why my ride is different for the others. That's why I'm asking for some advice here. Are you able to help me out? Thanks.

Hi Edric,
Would like to check whether can we mix water wetter directly to radiator with coolant inside? If yes, how much water wetter can be added in? Will the effect be better if only mix with water?

Hi Edric, I'm driving a Manual Cerato and had done my servicing with Harmony. Yesterday I'd check my EO dipstick and found that the level is just slightly above the low mark. Currently my car mileage is 100700+ and going to due for another servicing at the end of the month. I would like to check the following with you:- 1. Is it normal that the EO level will drop like this case? 2. Should I top up or continue to drive till next servicing? Thanks. Hi Bro, what was the mileage at your previous servicing? EO would normally be topped up to full mark or slightly below (dependant on mechanic's habit) A drop from full to almost low is not normal. It is advisable to top it up a little (if you have any spares) and drive it till next service. Just as long as it doesnt drop below LOW marking.. When you are here please do inform any of our service staff on this, we'll check it out for you. Meanwhile you can monitor if you are emiting smoke from your exhaust, or if there is visible leak at the engine, area below the black piece connected to your air box all the way down the front.. If convenient you can drop by our wkshop... I'd top it up for you FOC till your next service and do the visible checks for you... Hope this helps! Hi Edric, Thanks for your advice. Can I top up with other brand of EO with the specs w30? I'll double check my EO level again tomorrow early morning to see if it's dropping.

Hi Joey, Recently I encounter difficulty in engaging 1st gear, most of the time I'll need to release and depress the clutch to engage again. The other issue is sound coming out from my passenger safety belt buckle. The sound only appears when the seat belt is inserted and car is moving. Can you pls advise me? Thanks. When you engage the 1st gear, did your gear crash (got a loud 'krrraaaannn' sound. If yes, that means your clutch was not disengaged properly. Check is your clutch pad botak liao. If not, then change your gearbox oil. Did you ever apply E-brake with a passenger on board. If yes, then your safety belt bucket might have been stretched. No medicine to cure one, change a piece. Otherwise, check is the bucket anchoring bolt loose. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim Hi Joey, There's no 'krrraaaannn' sound, just can't engage. It's sometimes happen to reversed gear too. Most of the time I'll need to release and depress the clutch again. I'd changed my gear oil at 20k and current milage is 80k. Mine is a fully synthetic oil. When need to change again? I did not usually e-brake with passenger but do apply hard braking often. I'll check on the bolt again if that's not the case then will come over to your workshop. Thanks.
