This type of feeling is really difficult to ascertain. Also may not be able to solve easily if you keep insisting that the problem is there but the Tech cannot feel it. It may be due to 'old' engine oil or some friction within the engine. Best way is to do an engine flush (if your mileage is more then 40k km) and use a good additive. Thanks and safe driving. Hi Joey, it's me again..
Ok, lately I have been getting sounds from my rear brake assy esp when reversing.. And recently got to know that the brake piston does not return to it's position after depressing the brake pedal thus causing it to bind.. Any idea of it's cause? I suspect it's the pump which is faulty.
Your exepert advise on this please.. Thanks in advance..
Car is 06 Cerato, running on discs for both frt and rear..

If your brake pump cylinder is not returning (it returns by a spring pulling two brake shoes back together), most probably due to corrosion at the piston and its wall. This corrosion is due to water getting into the brake fluid from the Reservoir. As water is heavier then the brake fluid, it will usually be pushed to the end of the line which is the rear brake cylinder pump. It will cause corrosion. That may be your source of problem. I always advise my clients to flush the brake system at least once a year. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

Thanks! Thanks for your support. Items to be changed are Engine Oil, Filter and Spark Plugs. You can choose our $98.00 package. Items to be checked are usually overall check. If you want, you can do a tyre rotation and balancing (optional). Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

Hi Joey, me driving Cerato 06. Every morning, when I start my engine, I can hear 'loud belt turning' sound. The sound will only die off probably after 15-20 mins of driving. I did called up C & C and they advise me to pour water on the belting, which I have not done so.
Need your expertise on this. Cheers!

So bleeding/flushing the system shd solve this matter? Unfortunately no. Flushing is only a preventive maintenance. Since your Cylinder is already jammed, then you have no choice but to service it or replace it. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

Most probably is squeeching sound cos Bearing noise is consistent throughout and will not go away. I will recommend to check your belt. If it is worn, just replace it. If there is no crack lines, then just do a tightening will do. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

PLease quote if changes are needed THNX Thanks for your queries. From your car manual, it is stated 40k km. But I always recommend that 20k km change the AT oil by drain and fill method (4 liters only). At 40k km, do a complete flushing by machine (8 - 12 litres). If you problem of noise is only for a day or 2 and then disappear, then it is very minor and you may ignore it. I think you must have splash water on your hot brake disc rotor. Please don't do it when it is hot because it will warp and damage. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

I most probably will not be adding the Tyre Balancing Machine at AMK. Reasons being that 1) there are already many Tyre shops there, 2) no space, 3) only this machine cannot form up the tyre division. Conclusion: no 3 no 4 leh. Thanks and safe driving Joey Lim
