Model, '06 Kia Cerato.. Mileage 60k.. No vibration alongside the screeching sound.. If there is no vibration, then it could be the loose Power Steering Belt. However, just to let you know if there is vibration: There could be 2 possibilities: 1. Power Steering Pump Vanes worn and is scraping the wall of the pump housing. Especially when it has to work hard to pump high pressure. 2. Power Steering Hose (High Pressure, supply hose to the Steering Rack and Pinion Assembly) is partially choke (like high colestral). This will cause high back pressure to the pump and make that noise and vibration. Usually it will cause the pump to wear out very fast. It is still better to let us listen to the noise to ascertain the problem. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

We have an unresistable promo Fully Syn Package at $98.00. Unfortunately, we don't carry Bosch Ir Spark Plug. However, you can upgrade to Denso or NGK Ir Spark Plug at only $68.00. We have only Original High Tension Cable and don't carry Aftermarket parts of this type. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

Hi Joey
Im drive 05 cerato with a mileage of 47k.
Every morning or when the engine is cold, when i start the car, there would be a knocking sound coming from the engine. It sounds like two ball bearings hitting each other at 2-3 times a second. But after 20 sec or so, the sound would go off. My last servicing was at 42k using fully syn oil, denso iridium ik20 spark plugs and i also did a full ATF flush at your AMK branch. Any help?

I have changed the power steering belt due to cracks.. However, the sound is still there when driving for a long period of time regardless of any speed.. I wonder whether it has anything to do with belt tensioning as I encounter schreeching noise during cold start also..

Hi Joey, My Cerato V2 front left passenger seat flooring got wet after driving in rain or after washing. Some wiring are also dripping water at the area behind the glove box compartment. What could be the cause?

I wonder whether it has anything to do with belt tensioning as I encounter schreeching noise during cold start also.. New belt will usually have some squeeching sound in the morning after a few days of installation. This is because the belt stretched and elongated. Just need to go back to your workshop to tighten it further. Please note that this is not your workshop's fault, it is natural. However, for your sound, it would be better if you can let me listen to it. Just drop by when you are free. Can call me (9636 9151) to make sure I am around. Or see my colleagues: Suhairi, Ah How (6583 0001, Jurong) or Ah Hua (6482 2224, AMK). Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

Hi Joey, My Cerato V2 front left passenger seat flooring got wet after driving in rain or after washing. Some wiring are also dripping water at the area behind the glove box compartment. What could be the cause? Most likely suspect is from your front windscreen. There are only 2 opening at that area: Aircon Lourves and Windscreen (although should be sealed tight). But if the water exist even without rain, that it may be the choking of your Aircon Drain Pipe. Just jet it with some compressed air should clear it but the dirt will not be cleared away and will remain in the Cooling Coil Compartment and will choke again some days later. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim
