Went up Melaka just last weekend, this time without our little one. Hit JB immigration at 6.45am.. Went by Tebrau>E2>NSH... Road clear no jam no cars.. Smooth all the way.. NSH was deserted until after we went past the intersection to Tuas exit.. Den a few more cars cam by... Still v clear and hazy... Heavy rain halfway thru... Gotta slow down to 110kmh, if not can maintain avg of 140-150kmh... Reached Melaka by 9am and hotel by 9.30.. If not for my 3 toilet breaks along the way coz drank too much water.. Would have gotten there even earlier...
Stayed Hatten Hotel at soft opening promo rates. Huge room huge bed huge toilet. Super worth it.. Promo ends this mth... Went for brunch since room wasn't Rdy when we reached.. Chug Hwa chkn rice ball.. Best part is.. NO Q! Had a AAR one and walked at San Shu Gong before heading back to check in hotel... The Q starts to form after we left... Wanted to try Capitol Satay Celup in the afternoon but the Q is a turn off.. Lasted more than 3 shophouses away and we reckon we will not be able to eat until 1-2hrs later.. Thus gave up and headed to Nancy kitchen at Jonker for Early dinner.. Walked Jonker and the 2 big shopping centers beside our hotel.. At night went for a thai massage at Scents and Senses.. Totally shagged out...
Next day.. Breakfast at hotel followed by shopping and lunch at Nadeje as promised to myself that I would be back haha.. Mille Crepes!
Headed home at 2+.. Smooth traffic all the way tho more cars.. Certain points slowed down to below 100... Smooth immigration clearance.. Reached sg by 6.
Tired trip tho little one not ard...but totally enjoyed ourselves.

Recently a few gantry-like structure was built along wdlands ave 12 towards Sembawang. At first u tot they were gonna build ERO gantries but realised that was not possible. There were 3 of them! They seemed to have finished the installation and I saw a lot of cameras on it! With lights similar to that of erp shining at each lane, I think most prob is speed cams since that stretch of road is so straight for at least 3-4km...
Anybody has a better idea what that is?

I'm staying legal to avoid the hassle of changing back during inspection. So I'm just considering within the normal bulbs parameter...

Struggling in my decision to change my current yellow headlights bulbs. Wanted something white, but cannot decide which to get.
Should I get xtreme for its brightness and long throw but not as white? Or should I get Blue Vision Ultra for Whiter light but not so bright? Is this blue vision brighter than normal halogen?
What's the good and bad of the two?

I think I din achieve excellent FC coz I went at 130-140 ~2.8rpm. If kept at 110 maybe FC better. Got speed can meh?? I din see any.. Or maybe I kana oredi oso duno haha.. But I usually follow the crowd.. People speed I follow people slow down I slow down.. I went by Tuas.. Tot the traffic was better.. Maybe I try the JB side next time since I stay in the north.. But have to set off earlier.. By the way did ur guys stop for break? I stop at the big one nearing Ayer Keroh (After Muar).. Coming back stopped at Machap which is a good one.. Big and clean, with food court some more.. Wow ....... seems like everyone are heading for the great city of Malacca ....... I went there in March for a day trip. Here are my joural : sgkiaclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Carensgeneral&action=display&thread=24737Checklist: a) Spark Plug, EO, AT, Battery b) Drive at legal limit 110km/h @ 2500rpm - Save fuel ...... my Carens clocked 11++km/L : Normal 9km/L. c) Topup your Touch & Go to RM60 at custom or else life is going to be rather miserable. d) Go by EDL - Eastern Dispersion Expressway - At custom, keep left to Senai Airport, KL and`of course go to Malacca in style via the E2 highway. By EDL 6 mins to Tebrau/Tampoi, <20mins to Senai ...... awesome...... e) There are many private car park there, I park at one near the jonker street - historial site - RM3 WHOLE DAY !! Free watchman. What time did u make ur way back? I saw quite a number of breakdowns, an accident on the other side of the road.. A car rammed straight into the back of a lorry and a fire engine was on the way to the scene behind.. Saw a minor accident at the side sg and Malaysia car as well.. There was ard 6+Pm? i went to melaka last weekend too and saw the accident involving a singapore car and malaysian car. i almost met an accident too when an estima just came out dashing from the stop line. but apparently i think i did jam the brake but the car din really came to a halt immediately. it seems to just slow down. i wonder did i step on the brakes hard enough. FC for me was about 13.5-14km/l was travelling at roughly 130 towards melaka and coming back on the average 90-100 due to the slow traffic. was left with 1/4 tank hwen i top up my tank in JB

I'm on V Power, din really calculate FC, I fun see much diff from SG driving. I took slightly less than half tank to reach Melaka, clocked abt 270+km.. I'm able to get 300 odd km on half tank in SG on VPower some times too.. Most buses abt 110-120kmh.. A few were overtaking like nobody business.. 130-140kmh.. I have a hard time catching up with them coz it's too dangerous to drive near them... What's the FC like for this trip. Did you check? Buses seldom go more than 130km/hr. as far as I know. Only a few fierce one will hit 140 for a short while only. Juz went for a weekend getaway last weekend. Can say for the first time driving up, the drive was quite ok.. If you r traveling at 110kmhon NSH, better stay on the left lane coz u will probably be one of the slowest.. I kept at 130-140kmh, safety distance has to be kept as much as possible... Car was stable but when overtaking buses and lorries above 130 kmh, can feel aerodynamic drag at the side pushing vehicle away.. Hands on the wheel and will be ok.. ]

I am driving at colt plus and 130-140 is a comfortable speed, Ben so, I see coaches tailgating and overtaking me, probably at 140-150! For Pica, I wun recommend going above 120 unless the road is clear.. Coz pica is too light to drive alongside big buses.. Dangerous..

Yes, drivin in NSH and even Melaka, although crowded at times, is less stressfule coz people will give way to u... Enjoyed the view along the way.. Now feel so slow driving in SG haha..
Yah, stayed at Equatorial.. Parked at basement carpark near the security post exit. Quite safe and there are alot of Sg cars around.. Juz rem to keep valuables out of sight.. Dun really see the need to use steering lock unless parked outside..

Juz went for a weekend getaway last weekend. Can say for the first time driving up, the drive was quite ok..
Went in late and was caught in a jam at Tuas 9+am.. One SG lancer kept squeezing in a coach's lane and the coach driver and co-drivers got out and confronted him.. The lancer driver tried to act ah Beng and quarreled with them, in the end got punched a few times by them before they went back to drive off.. The lancer 'Beng' immediately went back into his car, like a tamed kitten. Lesson learnt, fun try to act ah Beng if u r not, esp in a foreign land..
Reached Melaka pretty late, so went straight to Jonkers and Christ Church, briefly went past Dataran Palahwan... Jonkers is very crowded on sat night, kinda like that place, alot of things to eat and see..
Hanged ard Hotel the next day and walked a bit at the shoppig centre before heading home in the afternoon.. Jam again nearing 3/4 way back due to 1 accident and 2 breakdowns... Took a chance and drove along shoulder with alot of cars.. Saved a bit of time.. Reached Tuas at 7+.. Jam again due to the Melaka Immgration (again).. All converging lanes to Immgration stations, of coz jam la... Clearing at SG was much faster..
Overall the trip was pretty ok except for the jam.. Sharing my few cents worth..

As for your FCC it's better to check it out. If chg EO no improvement, it could be spark plug issue. Chg ur spark plug may help. If still doesn't, maybe try looking into ur ecu...

Can check with CnC on the alarm lock settings. Sometimes they did not set it correctly. If not, it may be a good excuse for u to change your alarm system hehe...

300km full tank is bad.. My previous AT pica could go up to 400km and average about 380-390km full tank, city driving.
