Hmm..dont know who else does atf flush..i have not done that before. Regarding the screeching sounds..finally got it checked..and it seems theres a groove on the rear brake rotors..thus the screeching sound...checked it at spc..and to change both rear rotors costs arnd $380. *gulps* i think wait for year end bonus ..coz brake pads still thick according to the mech.

yes it went bust last year or early this year..there is a new tenant at the premises...heng never buy svc package or anything like that with them. i googled and khang is closed..some ppl at bmw forums are unhappy coz got svc package with them. Autobacs is $135 for front brakes only..all in tho. thanks for the info anand. themostextreme how old is your cerato when you scrapped it? the mechanic at autobacs says...brake pads still ok...told him next mth im driving to kl...(first time) ok or not..he say ok...but now when i brake i do hear a slight screeching sound..usually at the initial braking. did rotate and balance tyres at autobacs tho. now 50/50 to change or not to change..the pads. advise are most welcomed!

Will check out the bendix or N brakes when its time to change them. heh..aaur4man i dont tailgate....well not as close as you do hehe. LMF...the first servicing was done at whitesnail, my fren wanted to intro me a workshop..but i think he kinda busy..thus changed the engine oil at autobacs. got 1 free servicing at khangs auto..went there last sat...and its closed..went bust. so wasted paid $500 for warranty...neber get the free scving too..

hi guys there was a thread abt spongy brakes for cerato, but i am still not too clear abt it. for me must press pedal abt halfway then can see noticeable braking...is that what it means by spongy brakes? when i serviced the car(in oct or late sept) after getting it..the mech say brakes still ok. is this common for ceratos or something not ok with my brakes? driving a v2. thanks guys.

Hmm..going to get the replacement tomorrow..was thinking of some high heat glue/silicon or something to patch it up...but decided not to. wah..charge $5 to glue? been to the workshop for my first svc after gotten the car. tommythk, there should be coolant in the reservoir somewhere in the F and L mark. last night i had to use a torchlight shine into the reservoir then can see the lvl coz the reservoir is opaque. or another way get a wooden ruler or somethin put inside the reservoir...but yest. buy wooden ruler,..cannot fit into the mouth of the reservoir!!!! grrr..thus the flashlight method. but i checked mine when car is still hot/warm.

yah its easy to diy...i remove the cap to take pic last night....wah change whole radiator!! want to chop! i think it cracked coz usually when opening the reservoir/tank of coolant theres stress on that L shape inlet plug at the 90 degree joint. i used superglue on the crack...seems ok now but its only a temp. fix. better get a replacement.

Ah...so you bought the whole set? i did called up ming ghee..the guy says $8 or so just for the cap...but he not sure whether inlet plug is part of the cap...thus the qs. but for less than $30 for whole set..that sounds very reasonable
