hi guys there was a thread abt spongy brakes for cerato, but i am still not too clear abt it. for me must press pedal abt halfway then can see noticeable braking...is that what it means by spongy brakes? when i serviced the car(in oct or late sept) after getting it..the mech say brakes still ok. is this common for ceratos or something not ok with my brakes? driving a v2. thanks guys.

the brake fluid is not so good. change to Super Blue brake fluid. make sure to get the mech to bleed ur brake fluid system before tightening. also a couple of us ceratos ordered aftermarket brake pads...due to arrive soon.

I was the TS for the spongy brakes. I tried changing to Steel braided and change pads but the spongy feel still there. With the Steel Braided hose, biting more firm at hard braking. Personally feel that it does not help in the initial sponginess. Shud have asked the Lao Jiaoz here before carrying on the changes like you.

sponginess sure there. but changing to super blue brake fluid does help on the feedback, ie still spongy but u can feel the car slowing down.
