Thanks for reply looks good site I will work hard on translating because really desperate for engine modds. Now ! Because car needs more power to drag audio gear along Thanks if you are in the UK, should not be a problem getting a few used items as below proves cheap and efficient. 1) Used TD04 with the actuator built together with it. 2) Customise your exhaust manifold. You will need a used Evo 9 front mount intercooler. 3) Of course some custom turbo pipings. (Chrome pipings would make the bay look nice) 4) Look for ways to upgrade the oil pan by enlarging the existing pan for more engine oil capacity. (You wont want a surge when the boost occurs) 5) Get an oil cooler (Very important) 6) Clutch slips, deal with it for the meantime, there is no aftermarket mod for this yet unless fully customised by the Koreans or Japs. (No hard launches, rolling boost would be great) 7) Run with a standalone ECU / Piggyback to control the various components and of course fine tune the engine (Most use E-Manage Ultimate for simple applications) 8) If your budget permits, go for the side plant, original exhaust pipings really suck big time (Don't wste time to operate the exhaust, the air flow is very restricted by the original design) 9) There is no fuel injectors known to me as yet, but i can be possible customised i suppose. 10) Upgrade your front brakes to stop (Very Important) 11) some have tested a 1.2 bar boost with at least 150bhp (not WHP) as i was told, need some proper strut bars and good ARB if you are deciding to go to the tracks 12) Scrap the stock rims, go for at least a 15" with the profile 195/50/R15 offset is not necessary unless you want a BBK on your picanto....?? (BBK? i am also not sure if it can be done ) This is as much i can share with you for the meantime and what you say is relatively correct, not much parts available for a very big engine mod cheers

hi aloysius. no problem. anyway i've been going to the WS for the past 2 years and will still go back to them. i have no qualms about their service or quality cos it's always tip top. my only concern as i mentioned earlier was just to find out why a fuel filter for picanto costs that much. thats all. i think i managed to get my answers to the question i asked. peace. maybe picanto fuel filter abit special compared to the rest thats why can charge more

Hi Bro, What do you meant by first servicing Did you brought this car from another buyer and this is the first time you are taking it to servicing? If yes, better check with the previous driver ever did major servicing before. If not, I suggest go for one. 50k just normal servicing will do. usually the 50K servicing after 5 oil changes will result in some wear and tear fan belt, power steering belt etc and some oil seals to be replaced. Gear box oil is recommended although not really necessary for manual owners. Check the timing belts for signs of cracking or frizzy corners which propose an uneven wear or a not so smooth pulley. Cheers

Post by Little Red Riding Hood #828 on Mar 12, 2011 21:07:23 GMT 8
got into an accident which cause my bonnet to pop up and cant close properly. anyone got any spare ones to sell? can go to those wkshop to knock back, no need purposely buy a new bonnet. Or if u really die die want a new bonnet, depending on the accident if you claiming other party, claim new bonnet from KIA with the same color tone. If not, knocking it back to shape and clearance might not be 100% like factory specs, but it still can be closed properly i suppose. If you need wkshop for recommendation, here many bros n sis will advise you further. Ask and you shall be given Cheers!
