I think wat he meant was if u have aft market modded exhaust.. Its better to go for FDL.. as qfr is only mapped for ride without exhaust modd...

So if I have change my muffler , it is not advisable to go for QFR is it?haha\ Can still do QFR, but result not as ideal as stock muffler. If u wan better results, go for FDL. Btw, there's already 4-5 posts tat answer ur question which u asked multiple times on tis thread. Lolx

Hi everone how much diff in term of performance between RISK+SS MUFFLER +QFR RISK+SS MUFFLER +FDL You can't expect anyone to tell you what is the gain by only mentioning the name of the parts. Mufflers come in all shape and size and flow volume, it is just impossible to know. Anyway, FDL is customise tuning and will just max out the capability of the equipment. It is eventually the equipment which will set the max power output, not the software tuning.

No la wat i mean is if set up same risk+ss muffler. Performance between doing qfr and fdl not much diffrance then just do qfr enough need to go for fdl then can save money ma.

If not much difference, it won't cost $400 more right? Another way to save money, dun do any mod. Sell ur ride n buy a TC ride! Surely save a lot! Keke.....

Then in this case, even it both QFR and FDL generate similar results, the main advantage of FDL is that fine tune is available for it. QFR being a flash tune will not have fine tuning options. Hence, if you intend to replace your exhaust components to aftermarket parts, then you can fine tune to get the maximum out of your hardware.

It is eventually the equipment which will set the max power output, not the software tuning. to add on on what Joey is trying to explain in layman terms: 1) Stock car and nothing done much with RISK installed, get QFR and be done with it for better torque and better drivability 2) Full Data Logging is when you have extensive mods i.e extractor, de-cat, midpipe is about 1.75' to 2.5' range and a muffler with silencer removed for maximum flow, if you happen to have an open pod as well, plus if there are other extensive mods to the engine use [glow=red,2,300]FDL[/glow] so you can max out all your equipments! you cannot expect QRF and FDL to be the same thing in terms of power gains, so please look at your own car set up before you decide on what is best for you.

You are refering to QFR or RISK? If QFR (1st hand), can transfer once. If RISK also can transfer but have to enquire from Roy about this.
