thanks khoo! i was thinking of getting the engine oil, ATF, air filter and oil filter changed. not very sure about the rest, probably doing a change on the coolant as well. but is it compulsory to do a flush when changing these fluids? Not everything need to flush. Just 1. Replace the EO + oil filter every 5 - 6 months (for normal plate car) 2. Replace ATF every 30,000 - 40,000km 3. Flush brake fluid every 1 yr 4. Flush coolant every 2 yrs 5. Steering wheel can DIY every 3 - 4 yrs 6. Cabin filter can DIY every 1 yr 7. Top up gas and compressor oil every 1 yr (flush not sure how long need once) 8. Brake pad depend. 9. Battery depend. For me, more than 2 years liao still good. 10. Change tyre every 2 - 2.5 yrs. Check air pressure every 2 weeks 11. Balancing + Rotation every 6 months 12. Alignment every 1 yr As for spark plug, air filter, timing belt, etc. Can ask the technician to check for you during servicing. Wear and tear, mod and accessories not included.

Yes you can get your EO and AFT change for your piece of mind, but ask them first do their promtion package come included with orginal oil filter or OEM part and if you want them to check your brakes any extra charges?

i just did my servicing with amsoil signature series ow30. very quiet, very smooth, shiok Lovely to know this, what is your vehicle ? And this Amsoil 0W30 is meant for how many KM run before oil change ? It is a surprise it is VERY QUIET with viscosity 30. I used Petronas Synthium 5W30 but I could hear the engine whenever I step on the throttle....

Hmm.. You have to calculate based on mileage to get an accurate result.. Coz u may have travelled lesser this week and that may last the tank longer than expected.. Unless u r saying you travel consistently during these 2 weeks..

This thread seems to be missing liao, Internet cannot connect liao. Just to know, if it is really that simple just to diconnect both +ve and -ve terminals of the battery ? Then ECU will forget our driving pattern after 3 minutes ? This is applicable to Kia Carens with GEMA-Theta engine as well ?

Actually, Engine oil are recommended to change either by the stipulated intervals or 6 months time.. I feel that if need to use over 10,000km, it's best to perform oil checks but using the dipstick.. This is to ensure the quality of the oil is still in gd condition..

You should check the dip stick if the oil level is low, very darkish colour and milky texture. Usually, ppl will not exceed using 12,000km. This is to protect your precious engine. Not sure Amsoil how they test up to 35k km. Maybe it was tested within 6 months period.

yep, i think its for people who travel a lot... i do not recommend you using your EO for 1 year!! haha
35000 is coupled with their oil filter which can be more expensive than usual. other than that, when we use our original filters, i will still change my EO every 6mths or 10000 km. My car i wan drive until scrap if possible. not wise to risk spoiling the engine!!

Hmm.. Using Bltiz S2 5W40 EO.. Reaching 5,000km soon.. Quite OK I think.. Engine is quite smooth and driving it is quite OK.. The real test comes after the 5,000km mark.. Towards the 10,000km interval..
Hey Nakshire, you using Hurricane SS drop in right? What interval do you usually change your oil? 5,000km or 10,000km?

Hmm.. Not bad ar.. Acceptable for auto pica.. If u have not done anything to your engine, then perhaps it may be due to your driving style.. Or u may have calculated wrongly for your first pum..

I just did my TB cleaning at 30,000km. Took alot of cotton buds to get the dirt out.. I guess we just have to live with it.. I think I better change mine at 5,000km. Clear the dirt and also better for the engine, although I think the oil may not have degraded at the mileage..
