to add on, open pod filters should be installed with an air duct connecting from outside the bonnet to the mushroom filter which acts as the heat shielding purpose. if air is directly sucked in from the engine bay, might as well convert back to stock intake box. the engine will sound more "throaty" (not sure how will it really sound like ) when u accelerate. at least now i got a clearer picture.

Thanks Kuremikio for providing some references regarding to the open pod filter.. I've heard from everyone that open pod cannot be used for auto cars.. But why? I think need some expert to provide some answers for this..
But come to think of it.. How come auto can put in carbon charger, why cannot put in open pod.. I think they are about the same right? Or is the carbon charger equivalent to the open pod for auto cars?

i've just came back from my 2 days overseas job. i think its time to start arranging the meet up session. i'm rather lazy to go buy the materials for the bonnet shield... maybe just a TCSS will do?

Hi Joey, Saw this Singtech Eco Fuel Saver online www.singtech.com.sg/eco.html and wonder if it's good. Has anyone installed this in their car? Any comments? Will it still be effective if i have done QF on my Pica?

How much is this singtech thingy? based on 10% fuel consumption decrease, breakeven at how many Litres of Petrol sia? Might be worth it, but if minimal, rather do QF bah ^^ More n more car gimmicks, if all this stuffs reali good, imo, should come stock with the ride le.. So hows d DIY session going along sia? no sound no movement..

hey guys, long time no post. been busy with my new flat, so seldom come online. how's everyone? hi devilcup, 14.1km/l is really good fc! happy for u. mine avg to be still the same at 11+/-km/l and also feeling rather sluggish in pick-up... then i kept revving to feel back the power, causing bad fc... went Harmony to change spark plugs and the power came back and with better driveability. now will continue to monitor the fc. i thought of another diy but not sure if any1 knows how or is interested. body masking. (if done outside, will cost at least $20 just for a design slightly bigger than your palm) i'm interested to do matt black masking for my pica's bonnet, and some other areas if possible. but not sure where to buy the material and how to do it. i think some may think that its "beng" but maybe my white pica will look more fierce after the masking

Hi everyone, time flies and it has been 2 mths since i did my ECU tuning! No other poison yet, and I am happy to inform all there that my ride still feels responsive and I am enjoying it more! As for FC, I just recorded my highest ever FC since QF of ard 15km/L. 80% highway, 20% city for 1.4L(AT) Rio. Max speed of 110kmh @ 2.5k revs.

Hmm.. I don't think there's any DIY session coming up.. There's a new performance package launched by Harmony.. I think it's just a matter of time when the users of the new package submit their response regarding the new customisation..
I haven't been modding for some time.. Last mod was the UR strut bar and NGK IR spark plugs.. Maybe I'm used to the gain in torque.. Have been trying to find some more mods to enhance engine performance..
But to conclude, with QF, when you press your throttle lightly, the car feels like normal.. No gain in power, just normal driving.. If you intend to feel the QF, you need to press more throttle.. There's a difference in 20% throttle and 50% throttle..

hey guys, sorry for being online so rarely in recent weeks. *busy* guess i have to put the diy session aside for the time being first... for the next few months of weekends, i will be busy dealing with my new flat's renovation and stuffs... but nevertheless, i should be dropping by Harmony next saturday to test out the open pod designed for AT pica. if results are good, i'll pay for it and stick to open pod. the following are some points i'm taking note of: - any reduction in low end - improvement in high end - sound of intake at higher rev (hope its not too loud from inside the car) - overall driveability and response i will keep everyone updated in my findings. feel free to add to my list if there are anything u wish to know more about open pod for AT pica. (at least i can help u take note of)
