haha... bro alson wan power already.... bros & sis For power, pls do re-gap ur spark plugs. btw, read in the internet forums that Bosch spark plugs r not tht gd ... if u want, use iridium spark plugs n gap it to 0.028". the closer to 0.028", the better it is. I tried it n the car come alive at higher speed. low speed like no difference ... just my humble trial n error

for a 1.4L Manual car, the handling is great. FC average w/o mod, b4 5k servicing = 13km/L. speed = no complaint because i'm not rushin n s'pore road, i give up. speed oso end up same traffic junction as cars u overtook and on expressway, some goondu driver may cause u to be in accident. odds to high for me to enjoy this thrill.
wat can i say, Rio Rides !!!

if really FC is the main issue. then i think get picanto better... for me a bit big size.. so picanto too small for me.. Now thinking getting 1.4M or 1.6M..
SO which cc better FC? Care to share?

.. think 1.6 is having better FC than 1.4.... my view... more power, less dragging.. save fuel...

i;m actually deciding between PICANTO and RIO now... FIT is definitly out of the picture as its not within my budget... i've test drive both. frankly speaking the Hatchback RIO is more comfortable in terms of driving experience.. Engine not so noisy also .. I want the RIO, only thing making me think twice is the FC of the RIO hatchback.. So i think i should gather all the feedback here from you guys who are driving a 1.4M RIO hatchback..

Bro, if you wanna get a 2nd hand car, do the following tests :- 1. Get someone stand behind the exhaust or beside the exhaust, around 1-2m, then you press the accelerator, but maintain the handbrake n at Neutral. Ask ur buddy if got see any black or white smoke coming out. Black means engine koyak liao ... can forget abt buying tht car. If white, some coolant leak into the engine, also dont buy cos over the time will also koyak. Pass if colorless smoke come out ... means engine no leak. 2. Check the coolant after the above test. Open the bonnet, slowly release the radiator cap - WARNING - HOT STEAM. so be extremely careful. Best if u have a double layer cotton gloves while you slowly open the cap. Go take note of the radiator water - got any oily suspension? if yes mean engine oil leak into coolant line - forget buying also cos the repair cost is staggering ... 3. Request to see the engine - see the spark plugs cables - got burnt? torn? split? etc ... if yes, ask to change. 4. Test drive the car n check the brakes - Fast drive n sudden brake - ok? Handbrake working? Wiper working? Signals working? etc. 5. Lastly, if everything seem ok n u r comfortable, take pics using digital camera - everything - rims, tires, engine, coolant, etc ... so tht u can have proof if upon delivery it become koyak ... 6. Then go bargain down the price! bargain as much as possible Happy hunting for ur car!

white smoke is more serious than black smoke black smoke usually means engine running rich, probably a cable fault or a lambda sensor fault, which can be replaced easily and not very expensive but a white smoke (steam) is a sign of engine gasket failure, leaking coolant into engine combustion. a car with white smoke is a must avoid.

I agreed on black smoke is normally engine oil prob.. white smoke seems more dangerous

Thx boss! I mixed up the Black vs White smoke level of danger ... ok white a big NO NO, Black also preferably NO NO ...
