How do u all calculate fc?
Post by evererin on Jul 23, 2008 16:22:02 GMT 8
total mileage covered in ODO e.g. 500km and divide by the total of petrol pumped e.g. 40L 500km / 40L = 12.50km/L degree of accuracy all depends on whether u r consistent in pumping your petrol from specific pumps, petrol kiosk, lvl of stop pumping, tyres size, etc.... And.. we go on n on about FC

I've been getting 15km/l constantly for my Rio 1.4L (M). It really depends on your driving methods. What type of petrol do you use?

Hi Me newbie ... just got my OPC 2nd hand kio - 04 made. After engine oil flush - changed engine oil to Carlube 5w40, transmission oil flush - changed to original Hyundai SPIII, radiator coolant flush - dont know what brand liao, new spark plugs - cheapo ones - NGK groove BRKE6E (?) - the FC is 11km/L (using SPC 95). previously was 8.7km/L (using Shell 95). Just changed the spark plug wires using Tornado (bot 2nd hand from "ng" forum user) as well as did 3pts groundings only, no voltage stabilizer (have but dont feel like using) - hope to achieve 12km/L My driving is 50% city 50% expressway - Boon Lay to Clementi using the MRT track way; return using PIE. Short distance travelling. The longest distance travelling was to Mountbatten using AYE - ECP expressway - once only. Most of the time (90%), 2 adults + 1 baby + 1 stroller (damn heavy one) + 1 spare tire + 1 box of tools. 10% with 4 adults + 1 baby + etc ... Driving habit - slow pick up ... rpm maintained below 2k all way to 80km/hr ... even hit 100km/hr, rpm still below 2k! yipiee!!! Next mod would be to take out the existing air intake piping & convert them to 3" piping + heatshield - no CAI nor SRI - just simple mod on the current pipings Car is come stock with 13inch steel rims! Dont know whether good or not the FC .... MJ
