another legend...............
how to do that? if 100km/h=2krpm then what is your idling speed? won't it be too low? If only 2krpm, wouldn't the acceleration from 0-100 be really fast?

i dunno leh...mine between 2.8-3k then hit 100... Me also same as bro metallando. 1,4M @ 100km(2.8-3K-RPM). For those question on auto and manual, it's RPM is bound to be different as gear ratio are different. Rio rides again....

Yo bro .. my idling when first on engine (aircon off, radio off but headlight on - cos always forgot to off) is ard 1.2k ... after count of 15, drop to 1k, after count of 25 drop ard 600? .... usually after count of 15 i change to D, release hand brake but keep foot at foot brake n come out of carpark. all the way nv touch the accelerator, only foot brake n release foot brake till out of carpark n rpm show ard 700rpm before slowly accelerate ... many times i become a hogger ... feel v v bad ... errr ... me nv accelerate fr 0 to 100km/hr in one shot ... so dont know how fast ... but i wont do this acceleration test cos me treasure moi fuel

.. never press accelerator to move off.. wow. bro, your parking at slope? for me definately cant even move ./ haha./.. ya another legend.. 100km at 2k rpm.... No ... i dont park on slope. Tot Auto car once shift to D will move mah ... think for Auto, the first gear is for D is 1, hence use that one to drive out lor .... if urs cant move means ur hand brake either never off or ur rear brake pad too close to the drum ... hence high resistance. If not then ball bearings not packed with enuff grease. I repacked my rear drum ball bearings with tons of grease If the brakes are ok then the tires under-inflated, hence v v tight grip on the ground .... good but FC reduce. I pump my tires to 40 psi

Bro, no mechanic .... me own installed ... damn ugly Me try n error type of fly by night mechanic ... Today I intend to re-gap the spark plug ... still checking on other forums if advisable or not ... Read somewhere that 0.028" is the best .... but at wikipedia, it's mentioned that too narrow will not give strong sparks ... haiz ... me at lost ... But wikipedia got mentioned that if gap is narrow, at high speed there will be less tendency for the spark to miss firing due to narrow gap ... but not complete n strong combustion! geez! ... very cheem n difficult to understand ... anyone can advise on the spark plug gapping? Or anyone has tried gapping the spark plugs? I am using the cheapo NGK BKRE6E-11 spark plugs as stated on Kia user manual...

bro, free join us to share yr expierence.. will also wan to know how u can achieve this. For auto car when shift to D, the car can move but very very slow... if need to move from car park position, believed little acceleration will still require.. if totally no acceleration and move off and without slope.. it will be at really slow move off...wonder how many bros hwere do that .. move off at park position without acceleration...

bro another thing.. if you are slowly picking up speed on highway, or on normal road,.., try to keep left lane as considerate sake for those rushing for work or to attend urgent matters.. road hog definately not a good act on road..
just my point of view...

how old is your rio? how heavy are you? i am sure with me on the car, i would need to step on accelerator to move the car.

hmmm.....for my ride manual at half clutch can move the car a bit especially when reversing....has anyone tried engaging 2nd gear at a certain slow speed and let go all the pedals (rest u're foot at the brakeand clutch pedals ah)...my car can move by itself all the way(on flat road) until it reaches a sharp turn or an obstacle....

mine can move off when put to D, but will be super super slow, doubt it will reach any speed above 10km/h... prove your existance bro...

how old is your rio? how heavy are you? i am sure with me on the car, i would need to step on accelerator to move the car. Sorry for late reply guys ... Okie the rio is made in 2004. everything is stock. I weigh around 66kg? less than 70 but above 60kg... It does move, but it's true, below 10km/hr. it's okie w me cos i just want to warm up the car ... rather than letting it idle stationary, at least it's slow cruising ... Yes i do keep at the left most lane till i have gained enuf speed then move on to the 3 or 2 lane ... v v v seldom on 1st lane, except really empty n overtaking on 2nd lane. Okie, here's the latest update:- 1. Did re-gapping of the spark plug to 0.028" - no effect on low speed, but higher speed the car become alive! from 80km/hr onwards, can really feel the power to just run run run ... unfortunately, the rpm shoot up to 2.2-2.3k when hit 100km/hr. Spark plugs used is existing NGK BKRE6E-11 - re-gapped from 0.04" to 0.028". Since the wikipedia mentioned easy ignition of spark, think next thing I will do is to change from SPC95 to SPC92... see if got any effects or not ... if no effects, then i wld have safe some $$$ due to difference between SPC95 to SPC92 2. Today just removed part of the airbox - installed a short ram intake but still maintain the stock airbox. will take pic to explain. Tom gonna do some heat-shielding... Sat / sun then test try the result ... hope it's successful ...

bro taiyang,, no rough gauge for the warning light la... you drive till the light appear than u can go to refill yr petrol. As our Rio reserve tank about 5litres so should be more than enough to reach the petrol kiosk...

I am driving a 1.4A and I can keep a constant speed of 110km/h with 2.5rpm slightly above.
I realised that sometime overdrive gear is not engaged or slow to engaged.
One more thing to add... My FC is only 10.2 to 10.8km/l. Still trying for that elusive 11km/l
