I think if you ask the workshop people to do a check, they should be able to gauge the lifespan. But the obvious tell tale sign that it is due for change will be screeching sounds when braking

Yup, I already encountered a few times, best is not to trust the side mirrors fully, and do your normal blind spot checks as taught in school!

Just went for a major service package at AMK branch yesterday and I must say I'm very impressed with the service provided by the staff (Ah Hua was friendly and competent in knowledge) Will definitely go back for my next service and hope there'll be more good promotions when the time comes!

I think going by mileage should not be a problem, unless the car has been used in very harsh conditions.

Yesterday 1st session on the road was fine, but when returning home at the MCP parking resulted in this: Kenna the pillar, she panicked when she saw some cars waiting for her to reverse in, and my fault was never warn her and ask her to abort parking and move off 1st to try again later. Guess we were quite tired around 1 hour + of driving around. Now to find a cheap place to fix this, it's quite a deep dent.

Thanks bros..... for me if my own car damaged I not worried, but I more worried about other motorists... if hit a Merc/Audi/etc the cost of their repairs may be more than the Pica's price!! And of course there are the motorcyclists... if kenna them then..... I think I will ask her go more practise with me before she drives on her own bah.

Thanks for the comments.... The two times she drove I sat beside and tried to be like instructor but she said I very fierce.... The thing is quite a few near-miss then I'm also quite scared.... so my tone also change accordingly.... And parking... think still can make it but take quite a while....

Ok now I've got a dilemma... My GF wants to drive the Pica to work, which is fine.... EXCEPT for the fact that after passing her TP test, she didn't drive for 1 year+ 3 months back I had the chance to borrow a friend's Picanto, she drove it for two times.... let's just say her basic safety checks all out of window liao Now my headache is, how to get her to improve the basics again? I asked her to go take professional refresher course but she feels it's not worth the money.... (4 lessons x $80 = $320) So that leaves me with the "personal practising method"... Which we can only do after work. And she was thinking of driving tomorrow to work liao so we're left with tonight to practise. Need some advise or any alternatives!! Thanks!

Congrats bro, for having this 'new' Pica, I am sure you will enjoy the nippy handling of this machine. Yes, you can come over for a thorough check and set the base right for your future maintenance. Please call Ah Hua or Quin.C for AMK (6482 2224) or Suhairi or Ah How for Jurong (6583 0001) before going. Just in case they are bz. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim Thanks Joey, I'll give them a call before going down! So I can get the promotion price for the oil change also rite?

Hi there, I'm interested in doing a full servicing for my newly purchased 2nd hand Picanto. Do I need to do a booking with you? Able to estimate how much it will probably cost? Sorry cos I'm quite new at this!
