For me I change my brake rotor and brake pad. Think total about $600 plus. Rotor slotted. done at CK motor at AMK autopoint. Much much braking power

After market. Not too sure wat brand. It's bigger then stock and you need at least 15'' rims to fix in

Yeah, I see.. Brake pads are quite easy to source around, but rotors.. I'm still finding and aftermarket slotted rotor for Cerato.. Hard to find cos it's quite large and the PCD is diff than other popular jap makes..

eh bro, once you up rotor size, doesn't your caliper positioning change? anyways, a larger rotor is one of the best mods for improving brakes.. it reduces braking distance and improves the heat dissipation, esp if it's ventilated, slotted and cross-drilled..
thought it'll be a lot easier to find aftermarket brakes for larger cc cars like cerato... imagine for picanto??!!? impossible..

I think if you ask the workshop people to do a check, they should be able to gauge the lifespan. But the obvious tell tale sign that it is due for change will be screeching sounds when braking
