my CAI hose is at bottom of the front bumper, hose opening facing downwards. No visible CAI opening on the bumper. K&N Apollo is awesome, almost like turbo charged engines.

Bro aaur4man,
May i correct "gone were the days i help you take a look". I have 2 workshops which will always help me take a look, not only look, but look already then fix it, at no charge. Of course no parts involved. For eg, tightening of belts, throttle body cleaning. Ya at no charge.

I am having this "zzzzz", seems like fast rattling of some metal joints / catch, noise coming from the back seat, seems like from the seat catch. Spray WD40 on the catch but noise still persists.
Wonder if any bros encountered this?

There are 2 ways of running the wire. Surface run or concealed run. If DIY, surface run will be easier but if not skillful will look messy. And surface run will hinder car servicing, if the mechanic is not good, he may disturbed the grounding wires. Concealed run need a mechanic as need to dismantle air-box.
Grounding should be tied to chasis, engine, etc to achieve optimum results.

I used to service my car with C&C, never encountered that they charged inspection or quotation fee.
Bro Picanyeo, as a competent Purchaser or when doing Procurement, always get 2 to 3 quotes for price comparison, to ensure that you are not paying out of pocket. And a Purchaser will never pay for a quote.

still i think asking for quotes should not be charged. its just like asking how much before buying something... What is there to inspect? unless need special diagnostic equipments to inspect, charge for this I agree. But not charge even for quoting how much to replace brake pads etc..

Hi Joey,
I think it is reasonable for consumers to ask for a quote and compare. And service providers need to provide quote to consumers. Consumers have the choice to compare and select their preference price.
By charging $60 for inspection, it means that consumers die die have to accept your quote, if not the $60 will tio makan.
Hmm, okie.

just did my engine mounts at Sin Ming Autocare for only $250. Original KIA parts , saw Jae Auto delivery van sending my 3 mountings to workshop. In KIA box. Mechanic is friendly and skillful, replaced 3 mounts in an hour. After replacement, car is damn smooth like new. Cannot feel that engine is running.
Before vibration, told him that vibration is very strong. He cleaned the throttle body. Told him when cold start there is squeaking sound, he tightened all the belts.
Paid only $250 for engine mounts.

bros,
any recommendations for installing grounding cables?

Wonder any bros able to advise.
I noticed that when I have my headlights on, the engine vibration is stronger. When headlights turned off, immediately can feel that the vibration is reduced. Is it something to do with the grounding cables? or battery ampere not enough.

harmony is like another C&C, their price are very near to C&C. and always charge for labour. their workshop in AMK is small and stuffy, always sweat while looking at them service your car, and very crampy. no space to walk.

One more thing, when servicing at Stamford, they clean, air gun and wipe engine compartment untill clean and shiny. This Harmony don't do.

Dear all bros,
Maybe I just comment on some facts. Harmony Motors are not as good. Their technicians are forgetful. Always forgot to fix back covers and leave it in my seats. Small workshop space, can't do much. No tyre balancing equipments. They always charge for everything.
Actually we are driving KIA, most general workshops are able to repair and service. Unless we are driving BMW or Mercs or Aston Martin.
I service my Pica at Stamford Tyres at Loyang. Excellent service. They will show you the worn parts and you decide whether to replace. I told them my rear drum brake got noise when braking, immediately they serviced it FOC. Boot door cannot open, repaired FOC. Front marking light fused, replaced FOC. They do not charge for labour, only charge for parts. I bought rims and Conti-tyres from them, so free tyre balancing and rotation, free nitrogen gas. free wheel alignment which cost $60.
Joey wanted to charge me $50 for repairing the boot cannot open, in the end I went to Stamford, they said no charge. I even offered $20 tips but rejected.
