Thanks for the information bro. Hmmm..of those i haven't change aircon compressor, radiator, condensor, fuel pump.. you changed when the parts ko-ed? or when it shows there are signs or wearing out? Jansen Aircon compressor : making noise and not cold. Radiator : leaking caused engine overheat. Our car does not have coolant temp gauge so can't pre-empt before it overheat. Condenser : choked and clogged with dirt accumulated for 7.5 years. Aircon not cold while idling as dissipation of heat is poor. Fuel pump : hard to start engine because fuel pump can't hold fuel pressure.

Hi fellow owners..I'm considering extending my coe..I've done 160000km and am wondering if if the car will survive another 5 years. I should be looking at about 250000km at the end of the 5 yrs. So was wondering if anyone has driven their picanto above 200000km? Any problems or any advice? Bro, My pica has done 180,000km and another 2.5 years to go. Planning to renew Coe for another 5 years too. So far I've replaced front wheel bearings, master cylinder , drive shaft cover, alternator , engine mountings , Aircon compressor , radiator , condenser , expansion valve , suspension, fuel pump, and maybe some more that I don't remember. I believed all these are wesr and tear items. So far no major problems.

Dear all Bros.
May I know has anyone done the chemical cleaning of the cooling coil? Those spray foam into the drain tube type. Curious to know as keen to clean mine 7 years ride.
Thanks in advance.

The creaking / knocking sound is the lower arm bushings had worn out.
For the bearing sound could be the Aircon compressor is making the sound.

Hi Joey,
I have replaced the fuel pump set, after diagnosed by ah wee that the fuel did back flow, which caused insufficient fuel in the fuel line during cold start.

Dear Joey,
I just replaced the timing belt set and clean throttle body for my picanto. Informed the mechanic that I experienced long cranking so he proposed to clean the throttle.
The drive now is very smooth and powerful, but however, the problem of long cranking still persist. Could you please throw some light?
Generally I would say the service is excellent and price is reasonable.
Thank you.

Bro,
Hankook i think is some Korean tyres?
Why not try Continental, BMW and Audi uses as their stock tyres. Good comfort and grip, excellent on cornering and steering.

hmm.. after car wash, clean your windscreen with glass cleaner.

the problem is with your windscreen, not wiper. Try not to wash the windscreen with soap for washing car chasis. It will remove oil and increase friction.

Dear bros,
My steering seems to be leaning to the right, but when travelling high speed on highway, it's straight. Wonder if it is the road affecting my steering to lean right .

yes Joey is right. The point is not everything is expensive. Just that we should not be paying through our nose. Everything has a market value for it.
If you are not careful, might be like the tourist paying for $10K for buying 2 handphones, because he do not know the market value.

it is always nothing wrong to ask for quote. Asking doesn't mean have to accept the quote bro.

we can't charge customers for everything under the sun. Myself is in the Hospitality industry. If no works being carried out, no charge at all, fair. Sometimes by giving small free labour will attract return customers. Maybe you may package it into your initial quote. Then customers won't see the charge. This is how we package apartment rentals rate. Tenants have no idea that they are actually paying for the works that we have done for them.
When good service is rendered, customers will return and by word of mouth recommend more customers. Unless the business is sustaining at it's neck every month that no choice they have to charge.
Anyway, everyone has their own way in running business.
