Query: Manual Pica change transmission fluid? every 40K or by date? 6month x 4? If I am you, I will change it every 20k km. Because it is very cheap oil. $38-48 only. By the book, it is 40k km. By mileage, not date. And the effect is so nice to drive. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

Hi, I am driving a Picanto. May I know when to change the fuel filter. Mileage now is 50K. Where is the filter located and what is the cost for replacement? Thanks I usually recommend to change Fuel Filter at 40k km (although some owner manual recommended 60k km). There are 2 possible location: in the fuel tank (internal type) or along the fuel track (external type). Price of Filter is around $60-80 dollars. Labour for internal is $40-60 and external is $10-20. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim Thanks Joey for your feedback and info. I shall stick to 60K replacement. Best regards

Hi Joey,
Im driving a Kia Rio 2006. 1.6A. The current mileage is about 70K already. Is there any particular checks needs to be done on the vehicle as recently the drive seems to be less powerful, acceleration speeds takes longer. And i just did a 70km service at C & C, but was advise no major issues found.
Read you post earlier that timing belt are recommended to be change at 60km, could this be one of the factors?
How much will it cost to change the timing belt and at the same time have the tuning done? Appreciate your advise.
Thanks

Did the QF last Saturday. Can feel the difference in response. Now cruising 100kmh at 2.5K rpm (before is around 2.8K rpm) Thanks to bro cliuc to arrange the GB & Joey for the actual QF

Hey bros.. any known downside on doing the QF ? will it reduce the lifespan of the ecu/engine/components of the car since the original ecu is overclocked to provide better performance

My personal opinion and thoughts.... Depends on how much you 'over-clock' it by..... if the engine is capable of making 100bhp, but the ECU programmed only to 'release' 60bhp... if the QF makes it 80bhp, then there is still a safety margin.

Hi Joey, Im getting my sportage on next week, is recommanded to do QF for new car? sorry Im super newbie on car thing Thanks for your enquiry. There is no issue with programming a new car. However, I will recommend that you drive your car for about 1-2 months then do QF. The reason is that you will then know the different before and after programming. Then you will say QF very good!!! Most likely it is due to sludge building up within the engine that will cause obstruction, carbon build up, etc. Just do a thorough engine clean up (like engine flush, air/fuel track de-carbon, etc) and you will get back your power. I will PM you on pricing. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

I am incharge of Jurong Branch and Quin.C is incharge of AMK. The pricing for some items are different between branches as we purchase some of the parts separately. However, Aircon Filter should be from $28 - $38 depends on brand and quality. If you have any queries, you can call me at 9636 9151. Thanks for your support and safe driving. Joey Lim

hi...im having some problem after changing spark plug cable... can some one tell the firing order of the spark plug cable?? pls pm me....i need this help urgently..thx... Firing order is 1342. You can see the number on the Ignition Coil (which you have 2 sets on the side of the engine cover). Just connect according to the number. No 1 spark plug is furthest away from this Ignition Coil. If you have problem fixing it or facing problem after fixing it, just drop by our workshop and we can sort it out for you. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim

Joey boss! Got a technical question for u. I changed my batt ard 6 mths ago but lately, the voltage before cranking is 11.5-12v. After start, it wil b 13-13.5v. Dunno if its normal or not though.... The part tat bothers me is when engine running or when i stop at traffic light, sometimes the voltage would drop from 13.5 v to 12.5v for ard 2 secs then go back up to 13.5v again. Is there anything wrong with it? Oh ya, im driving a kia cerato(AT) v1 btw.

Joey,The QF removes away pica's rev cut, rite? Ok, I would like to state this again. Cos this has been a REGULAR misconception by all. REV Limit cannot be cut. It can only be lifted higher. Usually I lift higher by 500 rpm. For Manual car, it is effective. But Auto-Trans, it does not work so simply because the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) will still change the gear for you (regardless of what limit I set). Yes, QF touch on REV Limiter. Thanks and safe driving. Joey Lim
