Bro, most important of all, it's illegal. So far, our ride do not have any approved exhaust from LTA. Basically for me, I'm willing to take to risk as I really love the power of it. Anyway, my old ride was an ESI also with the exhaust done up. 4-2-1 extractor is more for the low end and I believe that there r other thread in this forum comparing bout the diff in performance between 4-2-1 and 4-1 by our experienced bros. Perhaps u could check out the threads. Anyway from my experience ( not alot of it though), I feel that by doing up the exhaust, CAI and tuning is already sufficient for a powerful ride than to install those gaugets claiming to gain power cum fuel efficiency. If you wan more power, you can't expect much from the FC.

better power can also come from making your engine more efficient.. this doesn't affect your FC much.. unless you become heavier footed, when your car more powerful step more..
mods like better breathing filters, lower restrictions in exhaust intake and other systems... simply by lightening your car can make it faster...
bigger throttle bodies, bigger injectors and stuff will definately affect your FC.. burn more petrol => more power => poorer FC..
so depends on your mods.. not all performance mods have a negative effect on FC.

hm.. so far my mod does not affect my FC much.. still about the same.. but ride become more responsive... more power when pick up. up slope.. so overall.. feel happy now... power willl not equivalent to FC.. so have to give and take... by end of day.. mod to make u happy..

yo bros, best modification????hahahaha.............follow bro speed 7188 foot-step lah. Once you start to get the kick of it, then u will realise - the ratio btw power-and-$ spent is still worth the consideration.

hehehehehe....u r not wrong man! I've seen my friends spent alot and eventually got burnt as well. My conclusion, they don't know what they want and they also equally don't know the engine limit. They tot that it's a "one-size-fits-like". They mod-up until oil leaking everywhere, until the FC is less than 300km on a full tank and start the blaming game, except themselves.

Anyway I would think it depends on individual.... Some ppl just enjoy the kick and process of mod... I can undersatnd y ppl dun buy performance cars instead they buy a humble ride to mod in whatever ways they like.... Other ppl would be tewlling them y not just buy a TC car then to waste $$$ on the mods... Well it really depends on individual... some ppl just take it like a hobby to them and its really 'addictive'... lol ....

precisely!! the fun is in the process! not the destination... and i could say the process for me was really fun, and now i have come to my destination.. hahaha..
and the explorer says one thing i could not agree more, must know the limitations of self and car.. otherwise it'll be disastrous..
always seek advice of reliable mechanics or read up and research.. seen many over-rev engine, engine "piang", con rod bent becoz of water going in....blahblahblah.... it's a pity..
cheers to performance mod bros!! its the most humble area one can venture into the modding hobby... unlike appearance bros, performance muz be low key and look stock.. can't be showy.. otherwise will catch ROV and TP's attention! hahaha..

anyways, i think the best mod available to any car is a piggyback.. or even a full stand-alone ECU.. but that's too hardcore..
piggybacks give you the control and flexbility to change the way your car drives.. think it's the most impt if you're into performance.. =)

From my experience is also exos mod.... For rio, muffler & midpipe operation can get significant performance le... Miraculously my FC actually became better lor... haha... Piggy is gd when u have done ALL mod le... or else also nt very significant.. Just my own opinion....

less restrictions, less pumping losses by the engine.. so no need step so much to get same pick-up..
