CNG - Compressed natural gas.... think should be this..... instead of petrol... your car can use CNG which is cheaper.... but must convert your car set up to accept CNG.....

Question to be answered: 1) With current infrastructure(refill station) is it worth it to install? 2) Do you live near the 2 upcoming refill stations? 3) What is your current mileage per month or year? How much time to break even(from installation cost)? 4) When can start actual savings(after breakeven)? 5) How long more you see yourself keeping to current vehicle?
For myself, I don't think it's worth the effort and cost base on current infrastructure and savings. Maybe when isn't registered yet, with the 40% OMV rebate and distributor warranty, etc can still consider.

I'll probably consider (and that's probably ONLY) if... CNG refilling is as convenient as petrol. How long can S'porean keep their current car By the time we change car, might have not break even yet

Hi,
I Heard that LTA is reviewing diesel cars, but it will be 2009. Maybe can consider that instead of CNG.

If u install CNG, take note that your boot space will be taken up by the tank.

Bro, e CNG tank is local fix or korea factory fix? Zaw, it would be locally fitted, compliant to LTA guidelines. If I've not mistaken, the tank would be in the boot and I wonder how its installed for access to the storage compartment and spare tyre. Bernard

hi all..i have done some check regarding CNG conversion.there are currently 2company in spore doin this..their webside is www.cng.com.sg and www.scantruck.com.sg The cost for installation is ard $4000 incl GST.. A 2L car should go about 150KM but its also dependent on traffic conditions, age of car and driving pattern. A normal 66L on a TOYOTA WISH TAXI is able to travel about 180KM and this is not based on cruising along but on average readings.
