Dun think it is the matter of the skirting...more of a concern is the fender gap that's all

No choice le, max profile for 15" is 195. Got pple squeeze 205 profile into 15" 6.5 rim but long term wear and tear.

If you are just talking about stability and handling exclude FC and pickup
195 /55/60/r15 - less stable, less grip
205 /50/r16 - more stable, more grip
Tire base wider gives more stability, gripping and braking power...

I am a new driver on the road for 10 months with my cerato with the latter tyre size quoted by you. But I've read about smaller tyres, handling will not be as good compared to 205 and same goes to the stability. Aaur4man mentioned that "195 i didnt feel safe until i did a full alignment and high speed balancing." earlier in your forum. Maybe you could get an advise from him??

Yes 195 even with low low setup plus strut + ARB, fast cornering, hairy encounter.... i feel safer with 205....

larger rims and wider tires are usually more stable than otherwise.
however if your car is not designed to accommodate too large or wide tires, the steering may become retarded.
therefore, changing down from 16" to 15" does feel a little more feedback in steering. initially i had problems with oversteering as i always turn very quickly (aka sha corner)
maybe i was just comparing 16" to 15" on the highway...... but after 1 mth overseas and finally come back and drive again this morning, i find the 15s perfectly acceptable. doing highway speeds and overtaking in heavy traffic not a problem (in fact maybe the 16 not that good)
but if u do alignment and balancing properly, 15" should do well up till 130km/h. 16" will be good up to 150km/h. anything beyond, u need to have a minimum size of manhood to handle it. it gets tiring after a while.
i suspect since the earlier versions came with 15, later ones could have "improved design" and come with 16 instead. however i feel that steering on 15 is lighter esp in carpark.
FC wise, still monitoring because its only recently that i did alignment and balancing. before that, it was close to the 16s.

as for the vibration at speeds >150km/h, its due to design of the car....... u want really good feel, get a conti car instead....... and thats why most of them are heavy in the first place.
a cerato v1/v2 with a proper spoiler would properly feel better on NSHW, but i prefer the lid spoiler's looks. if i want to add that spoiler i will probably go for a type R lookalike.
