aaur4man. thanks for your helpful information. having 16" in sg cant go where at all.. but when i drive 16" some time i feel that the steering is very heavy. i up my tire pressure to 250 instead of using 230 as i think it heavy and tiring . i when to AL tire to get quot for 15" + trade in 16" seem like i need to top up quite alot, the amount is almost 500-600$$ and the rim is 2nd hand nia.

15 or 16 doesnt make any diff in terms of heavy steering... Unless upsize to 17.. Mayb look at other parts to feel lighter

The more wider the tyre profile e.g 185 -> 205, the more grip u get. so chances to oversteer will drop. of coz more grip always tend to be more fuel to burn to push the car. The thinner the side wall is e.g 65 -> 50, the less bouncy effect / higher stability from tyre u get. so chances to be unstable will drop.
final say, 185/65/15 lesser grip n stability. And 205/50/16 more grip and stability. Previously on 205/45/17, super stable even over take coach/lorry at more than 140kmh. now change to 195/60/15, feel lot of bouncy effect thus got to drive safer. lolz

I understand that. I m looking for 195/60/r15. For this size, I cannot find and performance tire. My falken ze912 skidded 4 times when I brake at 70km/h... 15' tyre, you can get lots of brand in the market...

Try Kumho, Yoko S drive, Federal, Bridgestone...alot more based on budget.
195/60/15 should be common. Even Honda fit, lancer also used them.
Just check internet for tyre shops, whole list of them, call in and ask.

im using the stock cerato 15" size , i think is 195/60 R15.
it is the 205/50 R16 that has less options actually. 15s are very common with jap makes.
im using nexen. there are whole list of tires u can choose from

Thanks. The common ones are 195/55/15 or 195/50/15. Not much performance tires for 195/60/15. I tried a few tire shops (including AL tires in circuit road) and asked for toyo t1r, federal Evo, and even falken 452, they all say these tires doesn't come in the profile I looking for. 195/60/15 is specified on the car's door area, thats y looking for this perculiar size. If I use 195/55/15, a lot of choices. Apart from speed and meter reading inaccuracy, some website mentioned braking will be compromised. Will check out nexen... Can consider Michelin XM2, quiet and good grip.

"Apart from speed and meter reading inaccuracy, some website mentioned braking will be compromised."
actually, braking performance improves with stickier rubber. Its the sliding friction on the road, i.e the frictional relationship of the road surface on the rubber, the stickier the rubber, the less likely it will slide - within the limits of physical law. Brakes retard or slow down the energy of the moving vehicle. That's why a very used tire has less grip, easier to provoke skids and the ABS intervenes earlier.
Most of the 195/55r15 and 195/50r15 offers "sporty" rubber formulation over the stock 195/60r15 size. Another clue would be the categorisation - all season, HP, UHP etc and also speed rating. Most 60 profile are H rated, whereas 55 and 50 profile are commonly V rated.
