I was thinking of changing to 17" ENKEI also. The only thing is that the Enkei CPS2 rims are second hand and a discontinued model. So condition wise should be so so only though I have not view the rims yet. Damaged should be around $700 with used tyres after trade in. Was also looking at 16" new taiwan rims (those replicas) using back my same tyres as is still quite new (about 3000km done). Damaged should be around $350-$400. PLease advise are those Tiwan made replica rims light? Or the weight is comparable to our OEM rims? Really difficult to decide. Would like to get it done by tomomorrow before my C0 change her mind. Advanti's U.L.W.(Ultra Lightweight Rims) range are amazingly light I.M.H.O. as I once held a 17" by hand and was really suprised by it's weight!

Especially for those who freq JB and encounters pod holes. Enkei, etc are forge rims and therefore with their weight, the strength is enhanced... jemjem

Yes there is... But It will lighten ur wallet drastically.... Go for brands like, VOLK, SSW G-Games, Prodrive..... Some of these brands can even weigh abt 5 kg.... Ermm... let say each rim lighter than stock by 4kg x 4 = 16kg. Dry weight of cerato is 1500kg of 16kg. <1% of weight difference and lighten your wallet load!

This is I am thinking also. 16" new but replica or 17" used but original? But original will have better resale value, the different in price can but some other things. How..... Just for info, our OEM rim is Advanti Racing SD28. Think is Made in China as I find it in YHI China website. Maybe if we remove the KIA logo and reveal the Advanti logo, can fetch higher resale value. Sorry for the big pics. can i know whats the specs for this rim ? whats the weight and bolt thingy ? mine is cerato hatchback 06 ...if im changing rim what PCD should i be looking for ...WTH is PCD in the 1st place ?

PCD, Pitch Centre Diameter.. The dimension between the 4 holes.. For Cerato, it's 4 x 114.3mm..

does it mean i can only look for rims which are 4 x 114.3 ?

Yep, that's right.. Or, if the rims specs states dual PCD..

Dual PCD mean those rims with 8 holes...

If it states, dual PCD with 4 x 100, 4 x 114.3.. It shd be a perfect fit..

I would not say is super durable for enkei but the strenght for forge and cast is definately different. think a material engineer will be able to explain better. Ic. i have never tried taiwan ULW. since u hav tried so i guess its not tat bad. Jus that to me, rims and tyres are the only that tat is keep our rides on the rd.. so i will try not to compromise for safety...

I read an article somewhere tat 1kg on rim is equivalant to 10times (if i remember correctly) of it of something. it has got to do with the rotational force. jemjem
