17" will be damn swee on our cerato, but if want to better pick up look for lighter 17"..... Is there a 17" that is lighter than the stock 16" sports rim given by C&C? If there is, I'll seriously consider getting it! Hi bro, There is alot of 17" then are lighter than the orig 16". I do not know the exact weight but holding the orig rim without tyre on the master and aftermarket lightweight replica 17" and 16" it is significantly different. I have a colleague who change to lighter rims FC improve from avg 10.5 to 11.5 to avg 13.3 to 14 for the Manuel, very impressive figures, we thought was his fuel guage needle spoil at 1st. Those who have the exact weight of the orig rim, pls share... Rgds! J

Hi all,
Does anyone know what is the brand and weight of the 16" OEM C&C rims? Have been contemplating for awhile whether to upsize my current 16" OEM C&C sport rims to Enkei CPS2 17" rims or other 16" Taiwan replica rims, like CE28, TE37, Works Emotion etc. The only worry is that it will be as heavy or just abit lighter than the OEM rims given by C&C then it will be a waste of money. Would rather save the money and do some other things.
Please advise are the popular replicas 16" rims alot lighter than the OEM rims? Thank a million.

BRO Accent, if you go for 17" enkei will definately be lighter than 16" oem rims... if you want even lighter go for 16" then. if weight is your main concern..

I was thinking of changing to 17" ENKEI also. The only thing is that the Enkei CPS2 rims are second hand and a discontinued model. So condition wise should be so so only though I have not view the rims yet. Damaged should be around $700 with used tyres after trade in. Was also looking at 16" new taiwan rims (those replicas) using back my same tyres as is still quite new (about 3000km done). Damaged should be around $350-$400. PLease advise are those Tiwan made replica rims light? Or the weight is comparable to our OEM rims? Really difficult to decide. Would like to get it done by tomomorrow before my C0 change her mind.

Light or not, one thing for sure though, the original sports rims is sure not nice to look at...Look like ceiling fan.. ...I find it so anyway...And when compared to my replica JB replica rims (16"), can feel the stock is heavier...Urs is older Cerato right?..At least the new V2 stock rims are nicer..

Hi Bro Psyfool7,
Hahaha! Like the way you describe the OEM rims. Ya... Mine is the old Cerato. Any comments on BBS rims? Was thinking of do it once and do it right, dun like last time buy liao then regret. Changed my rims 3 times (within 2.5years) before I sold off my previous Accent. Thanks.

BBS?? Its good for sure.... Nice looking especially its TM multi spoke design.... But looks heavy leh. Sorry, what is TM huh? Thanks. Looks are deceiving.... Sorry, TM= Trademark.. But I dont think they come in PCD 4x114.3 right..?? Most of them are Euro specs... If u want lighter looks and weight, go for Volk, Enkei, OZ.... These rims are mostly used for top-class race evnts.... Of course they aren't replicas....

I think BBS rims does comes with PCD 114.3 cos Justin from Poh Heng recommended me. Another option is to get the used ENKEI CPS2 rims from another seller. Dunno whether worth to spend about $700 to change as mine is a OPC car and dun use it often unless on leave. Or shall I just get a Replica new 16" just to save cost since I can use back my tyres.

I see.... Replica rims arent as bad also.... Most of our bros here are using replicas.... And have served them well all this years as well as on the track....

This is I am thinking also. 16" new but replica or 17" used but original? But original will have better resale value, the different in price can but some other things. How..... Just for info, our OEM rim is Advanti Racing SD28. Think is Made in China as I find it in YHI China website. Maybe if we remove the KIA logo and reveal the Advanti logo, can fetch higher resale value. Sorry for the big pics.

I dont think there will be difference in resale value if the KIA logo is replaced.... BTW, if u wanna fetch higher resale value for ur rims in future, go for originals... But to me, replicas will do... At least when grazed, curbing not so heart pain....

Original will fetch a higher resale value but I notice is that nowsadays, the trend is going towards 5 lugs for our car size. Especially, ours is 114.3 which is rare.

Yes... I notice that too..... But across the border, 4x114.3 is a common thing..... Either that, do a 5 lug conversion.... Saw a kit overseas.... Looks like the wheel spacer but with 5 lugs protruding out of the spacer...

I am using 215 45 17. I dun suggest to use 215 40 17 because this low profile will be too bumpy and will not look that nice on Cerato. Cerato has very big wheel arc and 40 will looked unmatched. If you install 18", then 40 will be just perfect. Regarding 205 or 215, it will be up to you. 215 more surface contact, hence poorer FC but better handling. Btw, be prepared to lost around 1km/litre on your FC. Cerato can install 18"? What's the max rims size and tyre profile to go with?
