yeah just post here if you gonna do so. i will come down if nothing comes up last minute... cause i don't have anything plan yet for sat...
I may do it, but if i don't i can lend a helping hand... not on the skill part but can help on the labour aspect hehehe....
btw, if i do decide to go ahead and do the spraying... what other items should i go and buy besides the spray... btw, what brand shd i go for and any other items to bring as well... think newpapers would be one of them and laquer too i guess...

I'm not expert. Just want to have fun on doing DIY. Personally, i don't think need to lacquer the engine cover. News paper i have so don't need. Just take out the engine cover first & wash through out & keep dry. Bring the color spray can like pylox or any brand you like will do.

Original is black. This is the base color only. Next round is blue for the whole cover then red on the top inner part & Red for word the DOHC 16V.

OIC...this is the base...So that the blue and red will not be discolored by the black base... ..but why didn't use gray primer instead?..

This silver is the heat resistant type so i did not use primer.

OIC..When i did mine, I also layered a thin layer of black insulating foam on the underside of my engine cover..coz worry the heat frm below will crack the paintwork...

I do agree with you that it look nice but still want to stick to the original plan. If the result comes out no good then i will revert to silver
