Hi
Guys for the CAI... is it better to remove the resonator box or not necessary... pros or cons?
And any shop to recommend to go to to fix the CAI and estimated cost?
Thanks!

Once again thanks!! Not sure how SJ-CAI stup looks like..If it uses a new CAI hose..then might as well remove the resonator to shave some weight..Tink even if nvr run new CAI hose still can remove the resonator..and let the filter draw air directly behind the wheel arc which is cooler..u better seek advise frm Whitesnail..he's more expert..

Installed heatshield for the stock air bock, groundings and the CAI... left the resonator in... anyways good workmanship very merticulous to details and knows his stuff. Nice conversation with him during the whole process. I'm a "klutz" in DIY so engaging someone to do the job for me is better. But getting the "right" person to get the job done is another matter... in this case it was the right decision So based on what i have got left to do is the sticker 'Boot' job, change of filter & plugs and ........ then only log on to this forum once every quarter cause the "poisons" if i don't be careful will make me go broke hehehe

wahz so many ppl alrdy remov resonator... wat part xactly is e resonator n wats it 4??? whch part of e engine bay izit located??? how does it look like??? It's a large black box that situated near the front left wheel arc..It's actually part of the air intake system...between the snorkel and the air filter box..Tink it's purpose is to reduce air intake sound....but the air intake route is a bit long winded..Most of us remove it and replace with a more direct CAI hose.. Here's how it looks like.. hmm so i m assumin u replaced urs wif a CAI hose??? perhaps e nxt DIY session u culd guide me on how its done as well as how 2 fix in a CAI hose instd???

oic... keke den whr u secure e CAI hose 2??? n use wat cable tie?? hehe... beri tempted 2 try it out... For HB lesser problem..juz run it to the holes at the fog lamp..can secure using cable ties.. ..but now, mine run to another hole at the side of the bumper..a bit higher coz worried previously too low..especially if got flooding..
