Can anyone confirm the new K5 from C&C comes with Electric Parking Brake? How about Auto Hold feature? Hi duckling bro, once again, thanks for delivering the emblems to me. And to answer your query, since I just got my K5 last night, it comes with the electric parking brake and also the auto hold feature. However, from someone who is used to pulling up the handbrake at most junctions, I'm very unused to it. Even after parking, it seems very odd not to pull something up or step something down. I haven't read the manual, but don't know why, sometimes the parking brake goes off after I press on the brake once or twice more despite not pressing down the electric parking button. As for the auto hold, I used to have it in my first ride (Scoobie), so I loved that feature. But I have yet to try it though. So many things yet to try!! By the way, my K5 comes with scuff plates at the doors, with red K5 led lights on them!

Hi K5 owners, I just have 1 query. The K5 model now comes with solar glass. Anyone used it without solar films? Is it as good? Will it be redundant to have solar films? I specified that mine be fitted with solar film.Have been using it for 10mths already. My SE said to install solar films, I have 2 options. Either remove bodykit or pay 1k. I'm wondering should I add another 1k? Or are the solar glass enough? Or should I do it outside myself?

Hi fellow Mag drivers, I would like to know where did you guys buy your aircon filter?
I got mine from a freelance seller and the size is a tad small. But it could still fit inside. However, it doesn't have the hard plastic cover around the filter itself. Hence I hope to find one that has so that it can fit nicely.

Not sure whether the Vpower gave me better mileage, but my FC is slightly better this time round. Engine quieter.
Just topped up with Caltex 98, so will not be able to monitor how Vpower affects the FC. I think I'll try with Caltex 98 for the next few tanks to test it's economy.

Just came back from Melaka today. And it happened again! The attendant managed to pump in 61L of petrol with my fuel needle still hovering above 1/4 level! Anyway, not sure whether is it the fuel (V Power) or the carbon clearing, my my ride's accelearation is slightly more responsive. It has been rather sluggish, and the engine quieter. I believe the fuel helps in ensuring the engine is more responsive and quieter, coz my last ride experienced the same thing. However, not sure whether the carbon clearing helps in it too? Anyway, the drive there was great! Went in at about 6am in the morning on Friday, and there was so few cars towards Melaka. Managed to drive quite fast, but still unwilling to test the limit of the vehicle. Hum Ji... However, I think I overdid the tyres. My wife said the drive up was rather bumpy. I inflated till 250. ;D i also just back from Malacca! Not recommended to inflate your tires that much leh, my Cerato recommend 210, i did 230 for my trip Think I better dun play with too much with my tire pressure. Must release them soon. So when did you go Melaka? I went Friday morning. Darn good drive up.

250 is indeed tight, if running that type of roads shd be 220 ba. long distances constantly above 100km/h sure helps to clear carbon and improve on response. u can also do it 5am in the morning from tuas to changi and vice versa. 2 times enough liao. alternatively u can also use liquimoly fuel system/injector cleaner every (alternate) servicing My previous ride I used to use the complete fuel injection cleaner from STP. But then I read from somewhere that it is actually not good for the fuel tank, so I stopped totally. I too hum ji to try to clear carbon on Singapore roads.

I may love my Magentis a lot, but will never resort to humping it like a bunny. My love not that strong.... Anyway, pm a serious note, I never hump my Magentis leh. But not sure whether the attendant sexually abused my ride while I was gone though.

Hi Eviltrap, ya you are right specs says 62L, I think the pump attendant must have attended some comprehensive petrol pumping competnecy course and graduated from Johor State Petrol University that's why can pump in 65L He really is somebody. Anyway Bro if drive into JB tip a little and the attendants will do wonders to your tank capacity this is what people experince there. Worth while if you going makan, shopping then pump your tank super full Just came back from Melaka today. And it happened again! Done the computerised diagnosis and resetting at pandan and Leng Kee and the engine not so rough as before. My mileage now is around 3,000km but the feul consumption is bad -- 8.5l/km . Also mine pickup is slow. Check with SA and was told that it will only improve after the 10k synthetic oil change. Is it true? How did you know they did the computerised diagnosis on your ride? Must special request? Maybe can ask them to check my engine. I asked them to check why my ride regularly creak when someone alights my vehicle. I know I'm heavy, but shouldn't be THAT bad, right? Anyway, I've checked my FC since I got my ride till after I switched to fully synthetic oil at 6K km. It was quite consistent at 9+ to 10+km/L. The difference is at most 1km/L. What is your highway/city driving ratio? That places an important part too. Another will be your right foot. How heavy your stepping will determine how much oil consumed. The one that affects me most will be the spare tire weight at the driver's seat. But I think your FC should improve a few tanks after you switch to fully synthetic.

aaur4man have i offended you in anyway Do you need to use term me as poisonous!!! I think you misunderstood aaur4man, bro. He's using some internet lingo. Normally when someone say poison, they mean all the new things you can add into your ride, eg. ICE, turbo, decals, etc. So he meant our ride is good!

By the way, a few weeks ago, the pump attendant near my place did something impossible. He pumped in 65L of petrol into my fuel tank! I'm still wondering how he did it. Initially I thought he might have pumped into other ppl's tank. But the mileage calculation with the next tank is the same at 10+km/L. I thought our tank is only 62L. How in the world did he do that? I admit I did drive a lot since the light came up, but I was thinking at most 57-58L. But 65??

I rememeber our minimum is RON 91, so 92 will be more than enough.

I got my Magentis 2 weeks ago and the drive and feel was very good. After my 1k service(changing oil and lubricate accelerator pedal), the following things happen immediately:- i)car's throttle became noisy,(ii) cabin noise not as silent as before (iii) Auto gear shifting not smooth and responsive. Went back to SA who test drove the car and told me that it could be due to the mineral oil used. I told him I drove the car for 2 weeks and even my wife even notice the difference and even worse than the test driven car. Any bro/sis can share on this? I do agree the sound insulation is poorer compared to the test drive. Not because of servicing, but most probably because of the tyres wearing out. But of course, mine has reached 20+km, so the sound will definetely be much higher than both of you. I also noticed occasionally the auto gear shifting is not so good. Oftimes, my speed is at 80km/h but my revving was 3K plus. Despite stepping harder on the accelerator or letting go, the gear does not change. I only noticed it recently.

Hi, I've started off with pumping ESSO 95 when I just bought the car.
After my accident last year, I switched to 92.
In terms of FC, no noticeable difference. I pumped Caltex once only, and the engine seems smoother. But because my nearest petrol station is Esso, so I only pumped Esso. Esso 92 seems rougher.
For a smoother engine sound, I guess Caltex should be better.

bro Eviltrap saw your postings over at MCF, accident!?! Hope everything's alrite man... Thanks for your concern, bro! Everything is alright, except for the wallet. And of course, the next premium... Really shaken by the accident, even though it has been more than a month ago. Nowadays my driving is very careful around junctions and traffic lights. Not the previous relatively aggressive type. Balls shrunk liao, and treasure life and car more liao.
