Hi bros, update. Collected my car today. They dried up my spark plug wells, and told me not to wash engine bay, or put any form of water ever again. ECL also turned off already (prob resetted by them)

good for you bro.. problem settled.
calling all bros who have your pro-rally spark cable, think it is better to have your engine cover fix back if you have wash car at petrol kiosk just in case cos our cable cannot fix really properly covered the hole... just in case...

Yeah mine spark plug problem causes the engien to wobble and ECL to light up. Must invest in better plugs. Been using NGK Iridium since jan.

Even then, water should not get into the spark plug wells.. got cover, and seals.. Last time on my ex Rio 06 1.6(M), I also had the same problem after servicing, and it onli happened after I reached home. Problem is I asked my mechanic to do a engine bay wash for me, water indeed sipped into the spark plugs cylinders. Went back to him to remove all spark plug cables and use the spray noozle to splash out all trapped water in it. Problem solved. Even on the surface it may looked like it's all properly sealed, there are still chances that water will sipped in when u do a engine bay wash.
