Hi,
anyone had changed the stock air filter to drop-in type? i just changed to K&N drop-in filter yesterday...not sure will have any different or not.... anyone care to share their experience?

I've recently gotten a 2nd hand K&N filter from Bro Nic (thank you hor, Nic)... so far felt that engine response appeared to be more responsive... FC not much changes...

i felt different leh...like become worst...my friend told me he'll tried to re-fresh my ECU and then c how's the outcome...

refreshing of ECU is 1 way. But will it work, it still subjective.
Do take note. K&N filter is good to do your own cleaning. If a workshop claimed to provide free cleaning for your K&N filter, than you would have to ask them how long they that to do it. Usually the entire proper cleaning process should take up a whole day. Because of the characteristic of the material that was made for this filter. I must not be blow with compressed air. Otherwise, the material will spoilt and reduce the lifespend of the filter.

heard that need to use the K&N oil while cleaning the filter...hmmm.. is it right? had refresh the ECU and seem like everything back to normal liao...

heard that need to use the K&N oil while cleaning the filter...hmmm.. is it right? had refresh the ECU and seem like everything back to normal liao... the oil is a tack for attracting dirt. there is a cleaner solution to be used for cleaning, only after cleaning and the filter has been dried, should u apply the red k&n oil.

piccar is right. the filter have to leave it for naturally dry. Must not use compressed air. maybe can try putting it infront of the fan to speed up the drying process
