Bros who are going to PRO ONE to install their accessories like vacuum tank etc have to be careful hor.... Went to fix up a vacuum tank. told the technician to fix up vacuum tank near the throttle but technician insisted that the correct place to fix is between the brake booster and the air intake which helps to improve the braking.
At first, i thought i am wrong and so let him fix. but instead of improve my low end, the vacuum tank only helps to enhance my braking response now. haiz... Now I have to go back to my regular workshop to reinstall the tank... BTW, pls do not GET YOR PIVOT products from PRO-ONE. THEY ARE SELLING FAKE STAFFS OVER THERE!!!

Same goes for PENGS auto. They are also selling FAKE PIVOT STAFFS there. Its seems that there are lots of fake PIVOT VS, SPARKS, etc in jb. I have seen a couple of SG cars going there to fix the PIVOT. Imitation products of course cheap but things like VS.. dont play play.. Your car might catch fire if faulty VS is used. Best of all, those shops selling that can claim that the imitations are the same, all made in taiwan just the brand different.... Some dont even know that they are selling the fake VS and can claim it is the orginial PIVOT thing....

ALWAYS buy from SG n use their cheap labour to install it. unless u talking abt simple stuffs like steering wheel, solar film or simple accessories. Oh... btw, my vacuum tank also install like wat they did to urs... but mine installed by an experienced mechanic in sg.... like bro ks advise before, vacuum tank mostly install to enhance our braking distance, esp for auto car. so for tis, i cun fully agree w it on whether are they 'smoking' u. but tks for ur alert for other bros here...

To identify a FAKE PIVOT VS OR OTHER PIVOT PRODUCTS, THE STEPS ARE VERY SIMPLE. DUMMY PROOF:
1) Look at the original PIVOT Box. A original pivot will come with a serial number on the box itself. 2) Look at the PIVOT CAPICATORS. There should be a label marking "K" on each of the capicators. If you see others wordings e.g "Y" or "L" etc, THEN IT IS FAKE 3) Look carefully inside the PIVOT VS OR SPARK, there should be another marking or label "15" on one of the chips. Most FAKE PRODUCTS does not have that. 4) Lastly, from someone working in SLIENT auto told me. A fake PIVOT will not have the branding "PIVOT" printed on the box itself. Dunno how true is it but up to you to find out.
Best of all, those fake products costs alomst the same as the original one. In fact, I know some guys who adverts in this forum also sells those FAKE VS from Malaysia. If want to get VS, get from Autobacs, Slient, Mcwell. Cost abit more but peace of mind.
To bro Mindbox33, I have told the "meaty" girl from Pengs Auto that they are selling the fake stuffs. Well she had told me quite a number of SG cars have installed it. She can tell me she already charging me cheap cheap (RG $199). I told her the stuff not cheap since it is fake and original stuffs also selling abt the same price (SG $95) from SLIENT AUTOS.

True true.. One more bad point to add on to Pro-1. I nearly got into an accident after they had installed the vacuum tank for me. THe techinican did not tell me that the braking system will not work initially and have to wait for the "air" to fill up the tank before the brake is able to work. KNN. I blur blur reverse my car and suddenly my brake is not working. Somemore got incoming car behind somemore. Lucky the car behind jamed brake and I e-brake too using handbrake. QUickly go n informed the technican and then he tell me abt the issue. Wah lau. CB. My new car nearly got kissed because of his bo-chap attitude. Somemore test drive my car and switch aircon to full blast. IMO, I had totally ban the PRO-1. I rather give my $$ to a more responsible accessory shop. I better warned my friends abt going to PRO-1. I wonder how they can survive with this kind of attitude. Another shop to avoid is BROTHERS. A big and famous accessory shop in JB and other parts of malaysia. My advice: Just go n buy the accessories from them but if you want to install with their help... NO NO NO. BIG NO. They sucks in their installations. Also do yor homework before getting anything from them.

Another car accessories shop that riosters can take a look. the shop is located inside Jeso Tebrau City Lvl 1. Sure will not miss it if u r inside the shopping centre. I have went n take a look at the shop. Pricing wise looks ok. Acutally did a comparison of some accessories and the pricing is quite reasonable.
I did not tried any installations there although they did that too. Any bros have tried that shop before inside Jesco TC?

you mean heng lai....was there before. wanted to fix up my 421 and exhaust, was qouted rm180. all plug and play but needed some cutting and welding (minimum). rip off. sg do also the same price.
in the end, found another shop who did it at rm90. good thing is cheap, bad thing is it not a specialised exhaust shop but just a workshop with welder machine. so if needed expertise in customising must find another shop.
