Gud afternoon forumers. Guess this is my 1st post. Intro myself as roadrash or my frens call me Neo. And I just recently bought a 2nd hand Rio 2005 with 30k km. An OPC car.
Hi All, I'm just curious as to whether the basic parts are the same for cars for example spark plugs, oil filter or air-filter. Reason being since I'm working in one of a Japanese car company but I'm driving a Kia Rio, I was wondering if the oil filter and air filters are the same. For spark plugs they are the same parts cause they are from NGK. If I were to purchase parts from my own company, I have staff discounts of up to 30%. So might as well I make full use of it. Thks for the info.
By the way I'm with S* AWD.

obviously many parts will be able to use, but many other parts may not.. things like, spark plugs, radiator caps, or even steering wheels , etc maybe able to share, but specific things like air filter, are designed differently for most cars.. oil filters have many different sizes, si if the screw head and the oil seal diameter of the filter is the same, u can use. of coz other accessories like floor mats, rims, wiper blades, etc can get with discount, that is a must to buy from your work..

Hey there forumers. Thanks for your guide. Yes, I'm with Subaru and there are lots of parts to choose from. *wink**wink* Just myself a subaru spoiler and will be fixing it soon. If I'm not mistaken I've seen one of you guys fixing an extension thingy to make the spoiler higher. Care to share where he might have installed it? Besides the spoiler, I've had race gearknob waiting to be fixed, the heavy Protype full metal ones. Quite heavy. Retailed at $200! geez! I'm eyeing on that STI seat which looks more like a Recaro seat at my workplace.. *evil grin* But most importantly does anyone knows where to get a body kit in jb? Might be thinking of fixing a Subaru-type hood so that I can fix a WRX airbox and air-duct since I can get a huge discounts on em. Hehehe....After all the bodykits hv been fixed then I will be doing my designs on the car. I'm glad to hv come across a Kia forum. Do note that this is my very first car. I've been riding for 14years and have been changing for about 30 bikes! Think my time has come to slowdown my pace already. No more 300km/h, no more race tracks, no more stunts, just a simple car by the weekend at ECP watching DVD's on a small monitor, that's my goal for now... hahaha... my age is catching up on me. Hope to meet all the forumers soon. I'm just a newbie, please don't bully me....hehehe
