Hello all.. I just got my pica last nite. Its already 7 yrs old. When during test drive was ok but when I received it last night and driving around noticed the following problem:-
1) When release my brake my pica is not moving. I'm reversing so I have to constantly stepping on my accerator and every step it started to jerk forward. What can be the problem?
2) No light at the gear engaging around. I can see the D or R and have to on my light to see.. What can be done?
Please help me .. Really hope to enjoy my picanto..
Thanks..

If you can open up the middle gear stick console and check if the bulb is t5, I have the replacement bulb. If those hard to access one and soldered on bulb, then good luck liao.

bro forte3737... buying a car is based on individual consideration, budget & other consideration factors.
ur comments can be avoided & provide some useful n valuable experiences to TS who is new to kia rides or even a first time car user.
u may have the budget to buy a nice forte or other newer rides but may not be the same for others.
Hope you are not offended what i say... lets help this bro to solve his problem...
thanks.

Bro TS for a start, if u do not have ur own workshops...you can try 2 of the popular workshops that some skc bros/sis went... say u are recommended by kia forum. harmony motors at Chia Ping Road & AMK Auto point. give a call to Bro Joey (boss) at 96369151 Synergy Auto at ubi area. Call Ah kang (chief mechanic) at 93392143. i am sure either one can help u but based on wat u mentioned..it shd be a big project...but lets finger cross 1st.. ultimately..when u got this 7yo car... wear n tear is a must...

Did you buy it from a dealer? If so this car you bought falls under the lemon law. If so the dealer must explain to you the limitations of the vehicle ie. If like what you say it can't even move then something is definitely seriously wrong then it must have been explained to you properly before you purchased the car.
I am not totally familiar with the new law also but if you need more information you can contact CASE.
About your current issue doesn't the car come with at least a month warranty?

Bring it to a wokrshop that is specialised in Korea rides.
Above both shop are ok, synergy offer good rates and is able to get parts easily and at lower cost.
For the light, previously I have a request to change my auto gear display to red, synergy did assist me on that. You can ask them to assist, if really difficult and hassle, then pay them a little to do if you are unsure how to open the centre console. For my ride is just replace a t10 bulb...you need to check yours.
I have red bulbs lying around, so you can get from me.

when you buy this ride, does it come with warrantly? if u dont know where harmony, y not send to C&C for a check-up? Or normal WS like shell (balestier, SK, Serangoon, etc ) or AutoPoint (woodland, kaki bukit, etc) ; there are quite a few outlets in singapore which may nearer to your home?

Dear all bros,
Maybe I just comment on some facts. Harmony Motors are not as good. Their technicians are forgetful. Always forgot to fix back covers and leave it in my seats. Small workshop space, can't do much. No tyre balancing equipments. They always charge for everything.
Actually we are driving KIA, most general workshops are able to repair and service. Unless we are driving BMW or Mercs or Aston Martin.
I service my Pica at Stamford Tyres at Loyang. Excellent service. They will show you the worn parts and you decide whether to replace. I told them my rear drum brake got noise when braking, immediately they serviced it FOC. Boot door cannot open, repaired FOC. Front marking light fused, replaced FOC. They do not charge for labour, only charge for parts. I bought rims and Conti-tyres from them, so free tyre balancing and rotation, free nitrogen gas. free wheel alignment which cost $60.
Joey wanted to charge me $50 for repairing the boot cannot open, in the end I went to Stamford, they said no charge. I even offered $20 tips but rejected.

One more thing, when servicing at Stamford, they clean, air gun and wipe engine compartment untill clean and shiny. This Harmony don't do.

harmony is like another C&C, their price are very near to C&C. and always charge for labour. their workshop in AMK is small and stuffy, always sweat while looking at them service your car, and very crampy. no space to walk.
