Had sent my Rio to replace gear oil. Then found that 1st/2nd gear had difficulties downshifting into. Speed needs to comes low before it can be downshifted into. This was not the case before.
Read up a few articles and non really had good solutions.
Went back to shop and drain all gear oil and replace with GT4 rated gear oil as the shop think that they might had filled with other grades. GT4 is recommended for Rio.
2nd gear becomes easier to downshift now, but first gear still needs to comes near complete stop before it can be engage.
Not very comfortable for me since climbing MSCP, i will need to downshift to gear one, unless i do go into gear2 while in the carpark...
Anyone with similar experience and manage to solve it?

Bro, never had that kinda problem before but I was told by a friend who used to have similar problems that when he changed to Redline Gear Oil then it was better, much much better.
Hope it helps.

Am currently adjusting my driving habit, that is to use brake instead of downshifting engine braking. Also slow down using brake then down shift only after turning. Read up a lot on such scenario And it could be normal behaviour, thus what is able before might mean not idea conditions, Had sent my Rio to replace gear oil.
