Alamak, got mouse squeaking sound under my front boot leh.... To make things worse last night smelled something burning. AIYOH...... Is it the timing belt? And how much will it cost to change one? Mileage only 72000km leh...

Hi I also changed the timing belt around 70k. For me i changed in sg about 400+ sgd but later started servicing in JB workshop there around 500+rm. Me driving Kia Cerato V1 think the price can't be too different.

Confirmed lah its the timing belt. Went down to Merlin at AMK Autopoint and they changed all the beltings, water pump, tensioner, bearings and oil seals, damaged cost $550. Haiz....

Got to agree with you, Merlin's not that bad but I was wonderin did you changed all of the above and it costed you 350 sinchiapo dollars? If yes then you are so damn lucky siak...

Nope only timing belt.. I changed a whole lot of other stuff, clutch pump, some brake stuff.. can't remember the whole list... but it was almost 1.1k...

I think its best for you to check under the boot first before changing it. As for mine there was a mouse living under my hood, thats why I decided to just kill it at Merlins'. HEHEHE... But its best and recommended to change all of the above stuffs that I had stated above. For my brother in law he wanted to save $$$ so decided to just change his belts and now kena problem with temperature rising fast liao...

Check those belt got crack or not loh, if nothing then 100k then chnge but if you worried then change it.
By the way, i change whole set at 100k but still got burnt smell of rubber above 130km/hr, suspect it's my clutch ba. Anyone come across this ? pls advise ....
