Fuel system cleaner is part of preventive maintenance. Fuel pump and injectors will clog overtime and u will end up with under performance and high fuel consumption. Just like half yearly servicing, it's part of preventive maintenance. Are u going to drive your car from the first day u collect it all the way for 10yrs without servicing?

Please read TS title which is asking about fuel system cleaner only, not servicing. We have fuel filter so just change every 50k - 60k km is good enough.

depending on how u drive.... fuel system cleaner is useful.
fuel filter isnt everything. combustion chamber has incomplete combustion also. esp if u use stock copper plugs which are old...and drive at low rpm.

Well I personally feel preventive maintenance which is part of servicing. Different car owners treat their rides differently, some sayang, some bo chup. If one starts this thread and take the effort to ask about the fuel system cleaner, I'm sure he is one who sayang his ride.
Basically there's no right or wrong way, it's just a matter of how you treat your ride.

bravo..... nice post. yes i see injectors tested everyday...... hahaha bad smells
i personally use redline. i find STP too expensive and redline has this chemical that iirc was proven useful.
i normally buy 2 places - Mxtradings, Li Hong Auto (workshop i go to)

Bro, ever tried removing your fuel injectors and cleaning them? Saw on YouTube some would do so

lol... i think you are referring to videos like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aT4S1lIBAY&feature=relatedall the dozen or so videos featuring diy/garage injector cleaning basically shows the same thing of hooking up the injector to a 12v battery with a push button to activate the solenoid coil and flushing solvents(most use carb cleaners) thru both nozzle ends. But the whole hassle of removing the injectors(remove the air intake, the throttle body, intake manifold just to get access to the fuel rail then you can remove the injectors) can be tedious, thats why I say in my previous post to just spend $20 annually to free yourself of the guilt of being lazy. Plus, there is risk of damaging the delicate nozzle or some how using the wrong cleaning fluid which can cause sticky needle valve or worse of all, damaging the o-ring on the injector which provides the seal to the high pressure fuel rail, unknowingly spraying high pressure patrol onto the hot engine block and having a fire under the hood while driving. too bad I have not come across any workshops that has dedicated injector cleaning machines as the results seems quite impressive: www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0wQh7ijOcY&feature=relatedwww.youtube.com/watch?v=IzE2Zi4LKcE&feature=related
