No need it should be Pre-gap already, check the package box for more info. Just change it

Is your OEM label Hyundai or KIA ? The last time I bought they sold me the Hyundai-NGK P/N 18814-11051. I use NGK 5 heat range.... Is this the part number on your box ? Carens use 1.1mm pre-gap spark plug....there should be a -11 ending on the spark plug itself. Do not let the mechanic gap it by hammering the U-Groove.....may cause it to break when in use... bros, i just bought 1 set of OEM copper plugs from Min Ghee .. intend to DIY this weekend.. anyone has any experience if we need to re gap the plugs? or we can simply Plug and play the plugs. in case anyone keen to know the cost.. it is $3/pc before GST.

Mine is a T-bar type, I used a spanner to extend so that I can unscrew it. If too tight, start engine for about 3 mins than try again. If still too tight, spray abit of WD40 and wait a while before trying again. Don't force it leh, if you break the plug......then cry until eye dry dry I can lend you my spark plug changer.....PM me your HP... Take thread out the closet. Just changed my spark plug yesterday. This normal spark plug has been on 30kkm or 1 year. (ODO 131732km) The gap was 1.1mm, now become 1.3mm.
