Hi All, just to share with you the latest prices and i just got it from Min Ghee today. 1) 41300 02510 - Clutch Cover Assembly 2) 41421 02000 - Clutch Release Bearing 3) 41100 02510 - Clutch Disc Assembly This is the standard 3 items when replacing clutch whole assembly i.e known as pressure plate, clutch pad and throw bearing. usually alot of workshops charges about $400.00 onwards to have it done including labour and etc. For a cheaper alternative, Min Ghee is selling this 3 items (as per above code for 2005 picanto) at [glow=red,2,300]SGD$120.00[/glow] before GST. Labour, you can decide where to get it installed I almost fainted when i saw the price.........

btw how to know when to change clutch? i didnt got my picanto first hand, and nv got chance to try out other picantos' clutch.. dont know what condition is mine in when it is time to change the clutch if your car is a manual ride, the following symptoms. 1) The engine revs become higher at the same speed 2) Hi revs, the car does not have the pull like it used to or rather i would say that you can feel your car jerking and it means the clutch is slipping....(we do not have hig BHP to enable clutch slips on stock picas 3) Hard to engage gear in when stationery and engine is idling. 4) biting point of clutch becomes relatively little (when you depress the clutch pedal fully and release it a slight bit and it starts biting. time to go Min Ghee.....

change liao the clutch becomes softer depressing feel and also smoother gear change, probably is becoz of the new GB oil but noticed less vibrations when driving the car, well maybe hallucination after so much damage lol!
one thing need to share with you guys too, the thermostat housing is made of some hard plastic material, tends to have super fine hair line cracks and coolant will slowly leak, noticed why the engine housing near the gearbox got coolant buildup and realised it was the thermostat housing. To replace it in JB cost RM$120 without labour charge....

Hi Bro, in SG you can get it done for about SGD$150 - SGD$180 depending on workshops for labour which i feel in general is more expensive compared to JB workshops. Now the Jam is not as bad, maybe you wanna try see see look look in JB? Also, Bro MK13 is also looking for your old clutch assembly as he intends to do some modification research on it, would you be kind enough to give him your old clutch assembly when you have changed to a new one? Maybe after extensive research by bro MK13, we will be having ceramic clutch pads like excedy!! like that we all can do super hard launch without worrying that the clutch slips or burns. Cheers!

My pre-FL pica gear is stiff after doing the short-shifter kit and I already changed the gear oil with slight improvement. The clutch pedal is also bit tight. Will there be much improvement if replace the whole clutch or can we loosen the clutch for Pica? Any experts can advise? Tks!

Tks! clutch pedal tight due to a few factors like clutch pump wearing off, throw bearing failing, clutch pads worn out etc.... you replace all, it will be like driving a brand new car after servicing, trust me lol~

Will replacement also help the gear shifting to be less tight? gear engagement is not related to the clutch assembly, how smooth your gear change is related by the gear synchros/bearings and gear oil used. Hope it helps you.

hi all, im very new here and nice to meet u all. mine is 2008 picanto and i juz changed my clutch 2mths ago at 1 of the WS at Pioneer Rd Nth. after changing, i realised there is a huge decrease in power. normally when i go up slope, 2nd gear (mannual gear) can go up smoothly but ever since after changing clutch, my poor car couldnt even up the slope at 2nd gear anymore. i gotta drag 1st gear all the way up! and when i go back to the WS for clarification, they couldnt diagnose any prob and told me its my engine prob which cld be old coz its 3yrs ago alrdy. and also, i noticed tat even though i floored my accelerator all the way, the car doesnt pick up any power easily at all. i never encountered this issue before before i changed my clutch. after changing, the performace dropped and it wasnt as gd as before. this is depressing and annoying, does anyone shares the same prob as me? where shld i get professional help?
