Hey bro.. few days ago, my left wheel have a v.loud noise when drving.. so i went to workshop to check. after hearing what i say, they say is the shaft prob, so they remove my tyre and check. to my amaze, when they open up the shaft, the wheel bearing inside was crush to bits.. so they say need to replace the bearing.. then they check again, they found out the knuckle connecting to shaft also crack.. so they replace the shaft, knuckle and bearing.. total they charge me $600+... T_T i have no choice nor any chance to compare.. so just agree to them to fix.. can any bro advice am I being 'chop carrot' again??

Bearing crush to bit....that the worse case scenario...you can detect this in many ways ...during servicing.....wheel alignment ....unfamilar sound from wheel during driving..etc Knuckle connecting the shaft....i think you referring to the coupling that connecting the shaft.. this is quite rare case...check if this shaft and coupling brand new or recond or welded. care to share how old is your ride ....mileage

yrs is a second hand or first hand when u bought? if it's second hand the previous owner use to lock the steering while make U turn or any form of turning this may caused it happen. do not lock yr steering while U turn or in any form of turning.

when u full lock then release abit and not to hold yr steering to lock it while turning, if you do too often so it will cause drive shaft knuckle gone very fast. and your power steering hydraulic seal may tare.
just like the same as our wrist, when u fully band it will stratch ..........
