Hi All! I have just book my Cerato V2 Auto on Sunday and will be able to collect it on 3rd week of July. Kia SE tell me FC is 12KM/L, is it true? May I know what is the 1st thing I need to MOD inorder to achieve lower FC.
Thanks...

depends how extreme you want to go........ 1. take out spare tire. 2. never switch on aircon & windows partially open to minimize wind resistance. 3. minimal driving in the city where traffic is congested. 4. never rev more than 2500. 5. switch off engine if idling more than 3mins. 6. change to 14inch rims with tire width not more than 165. if you can live with this you should be getting at least 13-14 km/litre

Brother, what I can say is that do not mod the car when the car is still in Running-In Phase and you can do anything after 5K servicing. It is important during this Running-In phase that you do not rev the car too hard or hard braking, maintain your driving style thoughout as the ECU is learning your driving style and the engine parts are still new. You will get poor FC during this Running-In period but after 10K when you change to synthetic engine oil then your FC will improve provided you maintain your same driving style.

Even if you get 10km/litre but your Cerato has 122bhp compared to Impreza with only 95bhp spilt out into 4 wheels.

Even the stock 15" fitted in left very minimum clearance only. The stock 185/65R15 is gd for FC but gotta be very careful during raining day, better dun drive fast.

May I know what is the 1st thing I need to MOD inorder to achieve lower FC. Thanks... I am driving a V2 auto for more than a year now. Driving profile is 60% highway, 40% urban. Can get around 11+km/l and occassionally 12+km. No mods done. However, if FC is your target, then get the smallest rims specified in the manual. I drove with the default small rims for 2 months and gotten 12+km but when my package large rims was finally installed, FC dropped to 11+km....

The stock 15" Advanti rim isn't heavy oso. So wont recomm u change another set coz wont b lighter by much. Juz stick to the stock condition should b giving u a gd FC is u drive gently. Petrol $$ rocking high now, no pt chion-ing with others. U win nothing on tat.

thx Bro. this morning went to JB to pump, 1 bar lower than 3/4, pumped till the brim & recorded 27l. I believe variant 2 petrol tank is 55l . Previously when I was drivivng my rio, I could pump the same amount & rio's tank is only 45l. Could it be because new car or kia rio's fuel gauge is not accurate? Last Friday I went down to JB to pump, 31l , till today clocked 313km before pump, so estimated abt 11.5km per litre. Not too bad.
