bros , i realise RIO 1.4 slow pick up or no strength durin upslope do u all use gear 2 for pick up or upslope cos for me i never bother to change gear at all , i rather step deeper the accelerator

Sometime once a while we must use it on upslope and downslope it help on the weight of the car and fuel consumstion. as the heavy the gear is the easily carry us upslope.. just my 45cent worth.lol

i think its more of whether you wan it to go faster on an upslope..for me, seldom use gear 2 on my auto gearbox..i jus step harder on the accelerator..

it depends on how's ur speed approaching the slope...if ur speed is very slow den gear 1 will bring u up...if ur speed is fast u can drop to gear 2 .....dats my style...driving manual...bro zigel u drivng auto or manual...if auto just step on d pedal will do rite....

for auto the numbers dun matter so much when going upslope or forwards its more for slowing down and downslope....technically speaking, when going down a long slope like taka, vivo, etc, using brake to slow down the descend will heat up faster and wear out faster too...dun use D when going down but change to 2 or even 1, depending on the weight and your desired speed...smaller number means engine brake longer...dun need to touch the pedals yet the speed is controlled when going down hill...use more petrol only but more safe considering you still need to use the brakes after tackling the downslope
For dragging, using D is not as optimal as using 2 or 1, cos using these gears, when depressing accelerator under the same strength and pressure as D will lead to the engine dragging the lower gears to higher revs...thats why there's not much diff when moving forward with D or 1 if you wanna drag..
