Correct spelling is STOCK. not STALK
Anyway, Stock got the air-filter box which helps to store ready air to be used, thus provide sufficient air supply during initial pickup and low end.... when going high end or higher speed, the supply becomes not readily available as the air supply needed during those speed or rev is high, this is where Open Pod comes in strong, as the air available after the filter is plenty and not as restricted as the Stock Air-Filter.
But Open Pod dont have storage after the filter, which is the reason for minor lag.
Open Pod is useful on track< high rev and dont need initial pickup...
As for daily driving, open pod is likely to increase Fuel consumption and depends on your driving style.

hi, can use this on picanto? interested but mine never do coolant bypass mod to the throttle body leh ... can work? Need to see the original engine layout to advise you... See when SKC meetup again.. do remind me to check out the engine layout.. I got check another Kia make and it is diff.

Bro Nite2Nite, is the mounting method still same as what you've did on mine few weeks back ? Slight diff now.. got version 2 which is closer and dont need connectors anymore.

MINI-POD
- A DIY which create the open-pod feel (Mini) and retain the stock air-box to reduce the initial torque lost created by Open Pod.
A secondary intake which is well-filtered and match to the coolant bypass mod done to the throttle to yield a faster climb of the RPM.
Also helps to bypass the possibility of engine oil going to the throttle during high rev, thus dirty the throttle body.
Cost reduced (latest version 2 dont requires any additional connectors)
Onli need to buy the Mini-Pod at S$6 each (Need min. 2 mini-pod to work)

Installation is simple and you will be guided.

Just conducted one ytd nite... 5 cars involved..
3 clock timing...
Fastest Auto now is funnyPanda - 12 secs
Corgel clock about 11secs
Almost stock Auto (Ah_paul) clock about 13-14secs

Next Track Day at Sepang International Circuit Sat 18th Dec 1pm to 4pm How go Malaysia for Kart-ing first before going Sepang again? It will be good to re-learn the lining, track ethics via go-kart 1st... Cos can see u guys not really experienced in this... Nov after Photoshoot should plan for one Go-Kart session.

1st timing is the total, the S1 to S4 is the timing achieve during the 4 stages on the circuit..
Can see the timing taken during each stage and if take the best timing taken at each stage, can give you the susposed best timing u can achieve.
For example, S1 - my best is 36.363, S2 is 44.740, S3 is 54.535, S4 is 48.694 = 3:04.330
Tanjm348 - S1 - 38.323, S2 - 45.881, S3 - 1:01.380, S4 - 50.436 = 3:16.020
Laobeng - S1 - 39.664, S2 - 48.736, S3 - 1:03.265, S4 - 53.720 = 3:25.380

Good news for the 2.0L Koup or forte..
Managed to follow some guideline from Canada....
And now we can fine-tune the 2.0L E-throttle to improve response..

The Video is taken from my Koup following Laobeng Koup ard the circuit.
Note Laobeng is new to the circuit and driving a 2.0L Manual.
The Koup 2.0 have got this E-throttle which is actually more to safety than performance.. thus become a big hinderance... lol
The 1.6L response is much better using the reliable cable throttle..

The weather was hot and thus our tyre choice was also bad... thus... timing also not as great..
Although I did shave off about 4 secs from my last timing taken... it wasn't my ideal timing of below 3mins.. sad lor...
