Kudos to the Harmony AMK branch! *clap *clap *clap! My picanto has this power loss problem for about a month and my mech has been scratching his head for not finding the source of it. Advised by bros here i decided to drive up to AMK branch to have it diagnosed and found out that the crankshaft is the cause of it. Special thanks to Ah Kwa who took pains to endure my daily calls and pestering to get my picanto crankshaft fixed and have her up and running as good as new. kiaboi ah wee 8393 black picanto

Check the sparkplugs. One possible cause according to your description. Sparkplugs changed last Monday, improved for abit but the sluggish is still there. Whenever I see a slope or traffic light turns red, I will curse and swear at it.

Hi Guys,
Did a diagnostic scan on my ride and found out indeed the problem lies on the crankshaft.
In the mist of getting it fixed, most likely will be running good by coming Friday.
Many many thanks for your concern guys! See ya on the road next time!

i'm not a pro at his. But it doen't seems like things will become better by doing CAI or change exhasut.. Have u check ur belt? Have u notice any weird sound? Have u do a engine flush? Not sure if these helps... Hope ur baby turns out well. May be give Harmony Motor a call. Can do a diagnostic scan to isolate.. Yup, belt no problem. Never did engine flush before. Got some weird sounds coming from exhaust when i rev her up, a short burst of 'clock clock' sound came from her pipe when i gave her a short double quick pump at the gas pedal. There's a few plastic tearing sound in the dash when doing high rev. Maybe will visit Harmony motor for her heart scan soon. Yeah hope she will turn out fine tomorrow.

Hi Guys, Need some expert advice from here. After having my loyal service from my nearly 5 yo pica, 2 weeks ago she decided to show signs of breaking down... 1. There is no torque in all gears, have to rev her up to 5k region to get her in the mood of acceleration to keep up with the traffic flow. 2. Cruising in highway is hectic for her, the speed varies from 100km to 60km (yes, already pedal to the metal) in gear 5 depending on the degree of slopes along the road. 3. Used to climb up MSCP in gear 2, sometimes in gear 3 (with momentum of cos), now at gear 1. On the road is like pulling a thousand cows behind. 4. Many near miss at cross junctions and u turn points where it's right for me to go but she reluctant to feed in fuel and air, drag herslef at crawling speed below 0km (yes, speedo did not move at all) 5. Mileage significantly dropped from 450km per tank to 175km per tank! 6. Her idling is normal, but sometimes can feel her being choked by something, think is short burst of hiccups. 7. No sinus problem as mechanic already checked her nose, using stock airbox and fliter, the power is there but simply cannot unleash it to her fullest potential, looks like something is locking it all up. 8. Just changed the fuel filter to new one, to my horror old one is soooooooo dirty! 9. Just changed the sparks plug, felt she improved abit but the same sluggish attitude came back to haunt me when I switched on the ac. She float like a butterfly without her ac on, after ac on she crawl like a worm! Been cracking my head with my mech for the past 2 weeks, she went for her regular 10k servicing without a miss, not her crankshaft problem, nor her fuel pump problem, nor her throttle body problem, nor her clutch / gearbox problem, nor her battery problem, maybe it just the cat converter problem or her exhaust got sabo buy some @#$%? Please, it's not the time to get rid of her yet, she is going to stay with me for at least 2 yrs or if can even longer. :1 (so don't advice me to change my ride ok) Anyone got such problem before? Can able to advice me what to do next? Install CAI? Change exhaust? (aiya inspection coming at end of year) Or maybe shall i revisit my mech after chinese 7th month? *bleah ("pantang" sia)
