Hi all, I have some questions here. I had just done my 1000km servicing, and suddenly today, I felt that the car vibrates more when I am in a stop with gear at "D" (auto). I can actually feel that the steering wheel is vibrating. I don't get this feeling before the servicing. Is this norm? Feeling like I am driving those old Taxis. Not much vibration when I am in "N". BTW, how bad the vibration is for Picanto? On some cars, you can't even feel the vibration. Next, sometimes I see Kelisa or another Picanto beside me. They seem to accelerate (pickup) faster than me when moving off from traffic lights. Other than being manual, is there anyway to improve the pickup for auto picanto, but not affecting FC too much? Haha Finally, does VS really help? hahaha... Also, will installing VS + grounding void the CnC's warranty? Thanks!

Yah... initially before any servicing, it was pretty OK.
They did some adjustments to the belt to get ride of some squeaking noise i complaint of, so not sure what else they touch.
Later when i drive, i try again. Maybe because of the engine oil flushing and that the oil not flowing well?
If not, next week i drive back to CnC liaoz. Sianz. Waste my time. Maybe bang table.. haha.
So no one here encounter vibration yah? Something is wrong with either me or my car!

my manual one also encounter vibration during iding speed, check with C n ,they told me it normal for small cc cars? Did your engine stall after that? I book in my car to C & C and they told me it fuel pump issue and they change a new 1 cos less than a year.(change it on friday)

It is true that smaller CC cars suffer from more vibration, but i don't think it should be very bad.
I can feel the difference before & after servicing. Currently, u not only feel the vibration , but u can also "hear" it. Hear it as in you can hear the low frequency vibrating sound.
It was not so initially.
Very "fan" and "troublesome". I am driving OPC.. difficult for me to drive around for diagnostics..

Hmm.. how do i know overfill or not? Look at the dip? How does over filling cause the vibration?
After driving for quite a distance yesterday, I found that, sometimes, if I stop the car at traffic light, everything seems ok. But after about 5 secs, the vibration comes back. Even the water in my water bottle shows ripples.
Tmr might bring my car down and talk to them.
If really their fault, I think i will think twice the next time I go back for servicing.

the vibration might be due to the brakes. i'm not driving a picanto but a carens. experience this too before my 1st k.
they say they sand it smooth or something like that and it's ok since than till now.
i already completed my 10k servicing

just send it back to them or ask them on the next servicing. they would rectify for you.
the mechanics also humans. can't do everything. they only touch up whatever we complain. else we probably need to wait a few days before collecting from servicing, if they through check all cars, haha.
give tham another chance and we can always still complain to them if things are having problem.

Ok.. update from me. I sent in my vehicle this morning, and waited for the service to come in and "test-drive" my vehicle. We tried on another vehicle (picanto, normal plate, also SJ* plate), and guess what, the vibration was worse than mine. Haha. Anyway, the service guy also agrees that the vibration "sound" is quite irritating. They retained the vehicle and do a check on it. I found that the vibration kicks in "hard" when the aircon is turned on. I understand that this is due to the engine engaging the a/c compressor. But, the vibration (and sound) wasn't that bad before (the servicing)... Anyone has any slightest idea what might be a possible cause? Or is this very normal and that my initial "low-vibration" period was abnormal?

My milage is around 1260 now. What's urs? We can meet for 5k (6k) servicing if milage is near. But as I have mentioned, my vehicle is with C&C now. Let me see what's the verdict this evening and let you know.

Ok. I got back my vehicle.
They said... fix up one cable.. don't know what cable... BUT... vibration still the same. So I think I give up.
It is true that when you turn on the aircon, you can feel more vibration (and also.. less power!).
Maybe if next time got chance, I join the outing and try some of the picanto bah... or if i get a chance to go to another workshop , I ask them (3rd party view...).
Now drive liao.. also feeling vehicle no power. Seems must step harder... Haha. Maybe I am the one that needs servicing. Must go see doctor liao. Haha.
Waste my petrol today! Sianz.

Even my wife feels the difference! I will ask my sis to feel it next, but don't tell her what to look for... haha. I am quite disappointed to see the ride like that. I think I wanna go study automotive course liaoz... Sianz

Actually, I don't quite care about the pick-up. It is the vibration that is driving me nuts! Sometimes makes me giddy.
Lets do some debugging: 1) During my servicing, I asked them to check on one of the belts that is giving a squeaking sound during cold start. On the invoice, it was stated as "ADJUSTED EXTERNAL BELTING. Anyone knows what is that? Is this a possible cause (side-effect)? Or tighten too tight?
2) I am also suspecting that the change to a thicker engine oil might amplify the vibration.
3) Change of gasket-oil plug and oil filter.... where are these components are are there any possible links?
4) Possible problems with mounting? I don't think this should happen to a new car?
Out of ideas liaoz.

Brought back toC&C liao... they did nothing.. only tell me one of the tube/cable is loose. But the vibration is still there. Yah... I am going to see a doctor, coz the car is making me giddy after driving.. haha I think I am quite determine to find the cause... but as an OPC, it may prove challanging.
