i just changed to 195/55/r15 wheels and rims recently and my pickup and FC has suffered terribly even when i do not rev high. pickup is much much slower now with more traction on the road. it takes more time and high rev (close to 3) just to hit 60 on the 2nd-3rd gear. (i'm on auto) FC: needless to say, suffered a lot. used 1/3 tank last weekend and clocked only 130km. How can i improve my FC without changing my wheels?

Throw in a Voltage Stabiliser, cos you are driving an auto car, so batt current can affect your FC.
You can go to : -
1) Vim Auto - Look for Alex, install a VSD II. Go look for his thread in the Sales forum to contact/call him.
2) RDY Auto - PM if you are interested cos I didn't have their details with me on hand.

you sure 195/55R15 can even fit in picanto?? 195/50 R15 already fills the wheel well quite tightly already.. i'm surprised to even hear of 195/55R15 on a picanto.. with such huge specs, not surprised that pickup is really poor and FC is horrible..

is the 8 pt grounding a voltage stabiliser?? It's slightly different. VS can come with or without grounding. So grounding (with cables) is a seperate entity. Hope this helps

I think you must change, highly recommended must change. Your Tyre too big liao. Change to 195/45R15. Or else your car engine will gone earlier. You are stressing ur engine during driving off. Trust me. Get your tyres changed to size 195/45R15 else your car engine will be gone in no time.

It depends on where your friend is coming from. I had installed a VS too ... but I tried another brand & model. My FC improved from 14km/L to 15km/L. The rest of my picanto are still stock leh ... and I'm going for my 10k servicing this sat. Which means I'm still running on mineral oil instead of synthetic oil lor. Just go try the VS. It will definitely help wan ... Of cos, you cannot expect a huge improvement lar. Meanwhile, try to downsize your rims & tires if you wanna save petrol. My 'boi' is on 185/55/R14 only. If you wanna keep your rims, then have to change to 195/45/R15 in order not to stress your engine too much. My 2 cents worth
